No comments?!?! Come on MMAFrenzy.com, share your opinion on tonight’s big fights. Will the always-tough Clay Guida hand Mac Danzig his first UFC loss. Can Nate Diaz win his fifth-straight UFC fight. Alan Belcher vs. Ed Herman? Eric Schafer vs. Houston Alexander?
Let’s hear your thoughts and opinions!
Kris u have my attention for now haha
Like I said earlier this is going to be a fun night of fights I think Diaz will win again….. I can’t pick between Guida v Danzig (again I keep flip floping in my head) should be a excellent fight
I want Houston to win so he can keep his contract extension with the UFC Dana said he needs to win or work his way back to the UFC even tho he just signed an extension
yer go the sub
Kris your a Champ
thanks for the updates
im going for Houston Alexander to win by KO 1st round
I think Clay Guida vs. Mac Danzig, Alan Belcher vs. Ed Herman, and Eric Schafer vs. Houston Alexander are all close matchups. I’m leaning towards Guida topping Danzig, Alexander beating Schafer, and Herman besting Belcher.
I agree and think Diaz takes out Neer in the main event but Diaz needs to show that he’s strong enough to fight at 155 because I have my doubts about how he’ll perform when matched up against some tough 155ers, like Sherk for example.
Keep it up Kris !
Who’s got who(m) in the co main event?
Will check in off and on….
Dana needs Houston to keep hold of the cornhusker market! Nothing to do in Omaha, but football and UFC!
Diaz his so well rounded
I thought Miller was a bit better than Kimmons on the mat. This went the way I thought it would go. No surprise here.
Did anybody… ANYBODY AT ALL… think DREW MCFEDRIES would lose this fight?… In the first round???
I got Diaz btw
Danzig-Guida is the one I am not as sure about. Hard to pick when I don’t hate either one…:)
I think everybody… the same of us that picked McFedries… all picked Lauzon to win his fight… again, no surprise at all.
Guida will swarm over Danzig. I think… If Guida would cut hie hair it would have to help him. His hair gets in his face and his eyes.
* Josh Neer (155) Mac Danzig 155)
* Alan Belcher (185) > Ed Herman (185)
* Eric Schafer (205) < Houston Alexander (205)
* Joe Vedepo (185) Ryan Jensen (185)
* Kyle Bradley (155) < Joe Lauzon (155)
* Jason Brilz (205) < Brad Morris (205)
* Mike Massenzio (185) < Drew McFedries (185)
* Dan Miller (185) < Rob Kimmons (185)
Joe… Neer and Danzig? Do you know something I don’t know?
WTF happen to my copny n paste? lol
Diaz
Guida
Belcher
Alexander
Sakara
Gouveia
Lauzon
Morris
Mcfedries
Kimmons
I really hope Diaz loses though.
Thanks ALL_VICTIM
If I knew Dan Miller was IFL champ, I would have picked him. Definitely did not see the McFedries loss coming. Guessed right on Brilz (I think). Pretty much how I expected Lauzon to do. Gouveia I expected to win, but by decision.
im going for Guida too, he should cut his hair but i think he thinks the chicks like it long, but when your fighting it gets in the way
Every fight so far has ended via submission or TKO. Thay ain’t messin’ around! I wish I could see this stuff.
Guida could get cornrows like Urijah Faber did for the Pulver fight.
As you can see I picked my fights without reading the results lol.
Kris,
How do you get to see these early fights?
My picks copied from the weigh in page:
Diaz
Danzig
Herman
Alexander
Sakara
Gouveia
Lauzon
Don’t know
McFedries
Kimmons
A KO head kick, how sweet
“OWNED”
Nah, I thought McFedries was going to win this one.
Miller’s a former IFL champ and put on a good performance in his UFC debut.
I figured JustJoe, some pretty bad picks if you knew the results haha
3-3 so far, man, those were some pretty quick fights.
@DolfanG -I don’t get to see them, I just get reports from the arena.
Very quick fights so far, though that’s typical of untested fighters really.
I can’t wait for the Guida fight! That has to go 3 rounds!
Though all of these fights could make the broadcast give how short they’ve been I’m pretty sure the Sakara KO will be shown first time permitting then perhaps Lauzon’s win.
I just watched the second Pride show in Vegas the other day and Mac does the coolest thing. He is losing to Sakurai and he takes another hard shot to the leg and he sells the shot like it stings and just throws a wicked side kick. Chuck Norris was down front and you know he was proud…
I appreciate you passing those reports on to us, Kris
@Kris,
If you ever need to send out reporters…:)
Yes, Kris… Dietrich and I will go if you need us to.
Is it as good as Chuck vs Babalu, Evans vs Salmon, or the Gonzaga kick? That would be amazing, I’m glad Sakara got the win, i’ve always liked him, and he had been quite unlucky lately.
wow every fight already finsihed nice
good luck housten looking forward to KO
I’m willing to make that sacrifice.
Star wars rocks and all, but lets get to the fights!
I’m with dietrich on that one…
then another finsihed fight then tko by guida and then subission by nate
I’m glad im going to watch this soon it start in like 17mins for me
I say we carve this beat up Godfather style and send the “dog” to the pound…
i think either alaxander wins by ko if not erik wins
its good to see fights end,
i want to see the head kick
come on Alexander!!!!
@UFCfan, or it will be a draw just joking with ya I hope Houston pulls it off
ya me 2
cool ufc fight night startes for me in 2 minutes
this first fight is taking a long tim i just watched a 4 minute thing and the first round isn’t over..
Evan Tanner the first thing we see nice!!!!!
Diaz seem wayyy calm, but his lisp wow still think he takes it
Alexander
Danzig
Diaz
Herman
Whats up guys?
What is wrong with Nate Diaz? The boy can’t hardly talk at all. Luckily, he’s a fighter and not a politician.
First time watching and comenting here at same time. I usually text with Kapp during the fights, so I plan on doing both tonite
Too much Tree
I got Alexander in this one.
Spike needs a HD channel
why hasn’t the fight happened yet?
This is Spike HD
I hope Alexander wins… He needs too
just put on fight night can’t wait to see head kick ko
timcat,
You don’t have Spike in HD?
Alexander needs the win here. He is already knocked down to UFN status.
I really enjoy seeing the fights in HD. It’s almost as if you were right there.
No. Stupid Comcast
I didn’t know Schaffer is a BJJ balck belt…
i thought housten was going to beat irvin
i knew he wasn’t ready for thiago silva
Sorry, buddy… I have Direct TV
I hate to say a fighter got lucky when he threw a punch, but… Irvin got lucky. I’d like to see a rematch.
Yea me too
Houston 3:16? What in the heck does that mean?
Is he ripped or what?
Big knee
What a knee by Alexander! How is Schaeffer’s head still attached?
Rough start for Schafer
Stone cold Steve austin gimmick. Austin 3:16 means I just whipped your ass. Is what it means
Alexander looks like he’s slowing down
Scahfer is teaching him some lessons right now
No ground game for Alexander
It looks REALLY bad for Alexander
It’ss over
Damnit
Good night. Beautiful arm triangle. Took him to school
Alexander NEEDS to learn some BJJ. It’s supposed to be MIXED Martial Arts
Does Alexander stay in the UFC?
3rd loss in a row for Alexander
Nice props to Evan Tanner by Eric
Evidently the arm triangle is his signature move I did not know that hahaha
Not now. He just signed a 5 fight deal. Too bad
Dana said that if he lost he would have to work his way back to the UFC ala Melvin even tho he signed the 5 fight deal
Kevin Iole
Alexander looked like he had no idea what to do when he was on his back
That was disappointing. I wanted to see Alexander do well. He didn’t.
Not going to catch Ring OF Honor wrastlin fyi
I want to see Lucas Gerber in the UFC.
I got Belcher here
Taking Herman here
Nice DolfanG mad props to Lucas
I want to see JZ Calvacante in the UFC
Ed Herman hasn’t been very impressive up till now.
timcat
I agree with that! I like JZ
Who is Lucas Gerber?
I will get it out of the way and say Fedor ha
Belcher looks good
You probably know Lucas Gerber as The Gunslinger
A month in Tailand will ruin your diet
oh just saw that i thought housten was going to knock him out but he didn’t and like i said sinceh e didn’t knock him out eric won
Pretty nice first round
What the heck happened??? 10 seconds to go!
why doesn’t it say the next fight
Close round. I gave it to Herman for the take downs
It would suck if they cut back and the fight was over.
herman vs. becher good first round
Big left by Belcher
Good fight by both guys
The Gunslinger is the man and I don’t even personally know him but I gots the faith
If u are out my way Gun I will train with ya
Big right omg how is he standing
so far i think alan is going to win
Belcher is backing straight back… could be trouble.
Are you talking about the man who posts on here?
i didn’t see round 1 very much what was that do you think 10-9 alan or becher
Alan s Muay Thai is strong for sure
yep
Hermans face is going to be sore tomorrow
He’s an ameture trying to learn more. His goal is to go pro some day.
i meant 10-9 HERMAN OR BECHER
yep alan becher wins round 2 10-9 definatly
Round 2 Belcher by far
I’m sure alan will win
They’re cutting away too stinking soon. When they cut back, there’s still some time. They could wait another second or 2 before they cut away.
Hope to see him someday in the UFC then. Good luck to the Gunslinger!!
nice sprawl
Herman better take this to the ground. He is getting carved up.
Good luck to Gun!
Belcher is looking pretty good
are you guys watching ufc fight night also are just by the the info coming up?
What in the heck is Belcher doing???
Wow close fight. Nice spinning elbow
i thinks alan’s shorts thing looks wierd..
Now Herman is looking good… tough fight… tough to score
becher looks really tired
What do you mean UFCFan?
wow i think ed is going to win he just took him down again
Belcher could be giving this away.
great fight
Did Herman do enough to steal it?
Belcher displayed great Muay Thai I believe he won yet Herman gave is heart and timed his take downs for point imo
what you mean the wierd looking shorts thing?
Herman wins 29-28
Tough decision.
i got herman to win
i agree timcat
i was hoping that every fight was going to get finished
Yea, he did enough in the first and the third to make up for the second
Belcher dominated the standup… Herman dominated on the mat
split dicision winner alan
Belcher… good for him. Herman looked good in that fight.
Bullsh*t close, but thats what happens when you leave it up to the judges
alan belcher won
Split for Alan ok I go with that
And Anderson Silva is imo the best Thai fighter in the UFC
Who’s tired of the afterparty crap?
now LET GO GUIDA GET A TKO!!!! kill mac!
ya i don’t get the after party stuuf if i was one of them i would have a after party if i won. but i wouldn’t announce it
I had that scored 29-28 for Herman. Ah well. Belcher really didn’t impress me. His muaythai wasn’t good at all if you follow k1 or any kick-boxing federations. It was average at best. I’d be pissed if I were Herman.
The takedowns are worth points too. Sometimes I think the judges forget that.
Hey Kris,
How did you score it?
That fight could have gone either way. Herman needed more time on the mat. He took too many punches right in the face that rocked his head back. The judges remembered those punches.
Sometimes they announce the afterparty when they loose.
Man… it must really suck to lose a split decision.
Guida in this fight…
Ok I finally have decided I’m going with the Carpenter
ya lets go guida
Herman had 4 takedowns. More submission attemps, and was in full mount when the fight was over. that has to account for something.
lets go CLAY “THE CARPENTER” GUIDA!!!! man he’s a animal
ERIC SCHAFER got the sub nice , i was going for Alexander, i just like him,
but i like seeing these fights end in subs because i train in jujitsu and judo
ya we know that herman in our opinion won but thats what the judges scored it
GO GUIDA!!!!
C’mon stop commercials i want to see the fight start
Going with Mac Danzig in next fight.
Herman did well, but he took too many hard shots that rocked his head back and he was nearly knocked out once. The judges remembered those punches.
can’t wait!!
man I LOVE UFC!!!!!!!
i think clay’s name should be CLAY ” THE ANIMAL” GUIDA!! C’mon i want to see guida show mac what true dfighting is about!
mac got reach advantage
Jesus didn’t tap. I love that.
when mac strikes he comes with a big combo
Is Jason Guida any good?
I like Danzig. Good fighter
mac was doing better but guida was doing better in the clinch the now guida got big takedown!
i hope jason guida is good hes record doesn’t look that good
Nice slam
ig slam by guida!
o! another slam!
Good first round wow
Plus Rogan bringing up Josh Thompson was cool as well
guida wares everyone till they’re dead tired!
10-9 GUIDA!
tough round to score
again, they cut away too soon…
i think
guida got kicked hard but guida kept coming and chased him down
Nice counter. Wow what a pace
good kick… good punch
Do we love this **** or what?
200+ nice Kris
guida took him down again
great fight!
Great fight!!!
Timcat you think
great round for Guida
great second round
GUIDA 10-9
No I never think. Thats my problem.
Clay “The F~ing Machine” Guida
Go GUIDA!……
He is a machine. The energizer bunny got nothing on Clay Guida!!
Just jokes Timcat
Danzig needed that earlier
Danzig takes him down??? why???
Oh I know. I love this.
Unless the Diaz fight is short we won’t get to see the Sakara KO
Guida will win a unanimous decision
Was that a fight or what?
Dana White looks PI**ED.
Clay “The F~ing Machine” Guida wow great fight that’s what I’m talking about nice to see him pull through on a very respected and talented veteran
Guida is a tough son of a gun
Yea Guida dominated him.
All my picks have lost. Hahahahaha. I am the Ultimate Jinx
Could that have been the fight of the night?
Hey… Neer’s nose doesn’t look right…
Hells yeah who ha
Absolutely Dolfan
fight of the night? wth are you smoking…. fight of the night should NEVER be picked from the cards… besides
neither of them were bloodied up… im hopin for some better fights to come along and take fight of the night…
he’s having an after party… how ’bout that
Guida all class
yer go Guida
lmao at Dana White
There is only one fight left jiujitsuMAN
See that’s one more reason why UFC is the best
jiujitsuMAN
Maybe you’re right, but if you weren’t impressed by that fight, you’re a hard man to please. That was a war.
Neer wants to keep this fight standing, but Diaz will want to be on the mat. I don’t see this being the fight of the night, but we’ll have to see.
Man!!!! What are these judges smoking tonight? I want some!!!
How does anyone give Danzig a round in that fight???
Clay won that won 30 – 27. With ease…
What did she say?
Dane Cook is the man
I don’t know which round they thought Danzig won… it didn’t look like he thought he won any rounds
She said Beep beep beep beep beep
That really was a great fight! Thanks Clay and Mac.
thanks timcat… that’s what I thought she said… haha
The biggest fight in UFC history really??????????
How is Couture/Lesnar the biggest fight in UFC history? I thought Dana said Bonner/ Griffith was.
to be honest i was not impressed with Guida in that fight, in the sense that he didn’t really do damage.
I am a huge MMA fan, have been for years, but i’m never happy when one guy pins the other up against the cage for the majority of the fight. I had it 29-28 for Guida because Mac clearly won the first round with his strikes. Guida simply out-wrestled Mac, that’s it. Even when he got Mac to the ground he really didn’t inflict any damage. Many of you may disagree with me, but I just am not impressed by a Guida squeezing Mac for the majority of that fight.
Thought the Belcher / Herman decision was perfect, Herman got more takedowns, but Belcher did way more with his strikes. It would be a totally different story if once these wrestlers had guys on the ground they went for strikes and subs, but they really didn’t tonight, they basically hugged them every chance they got.
Hey Dolfan,
Hows the Dolfins doing this year?
Those camera guys are pretty good to be able to film whiule they’re walking backwards.
Alfred,
No offense, but that is part of the game my man. This isn’t boxing. You have to be well rounded. Ask Houston Alexander about it.
My Fins are doing great… just not as great as the other team. It’ll be a few years ofd rebuilding before we’re ready to be a real challenge.
Neer looks focused.
Nick is with Nate suprised they let him in the building ha
I took Ricky Williams on my fantasy team. What a let down, thought he would be better.
thanks for asking timcat… you can beat the crowd and join the bandwagon right now. People will respect you more for it…
I know for a fact they won’t pull what they pulled in Elite XC
when their passing attack starts to come around, the running game will pick up too.
Do anyone think Nate can take Nick??????
Can’t my brother. Life long Steeler fan. I bleed black and gold.
No way does he beat Nick
Nick Diaz on one side and Lil Evil on the other…
What was Nate doing?
Wow Nate doesn’t look good yet imo
Neer looks good. Oh my
Those sorry ass hooks might get Nate in trouble
Does he punch or slap?
Nate looks pretty good
nice throw
Nate looks awesome right now
man they cut it off way too early
10-9 Nate for sure
close round. pretty even I think.
He admittidly is a slow starter but until that throw seriously he didn’t look good second round should be better for him
timcat, they’ve been doing that all night. it sucks.
Neer doesn’t seem to have anything for Nate yet.
trouble for Nate
yeah what’s up w/ that tonight, I’ve noticed they’ve cut everything way too quick
Wow the defense by Nate
Good fight. This could be fight of the night
damn good card though
all Neer so far
10-9 Neer
go Nate!!!
Did Neer’s last punch land???
Are you kidding me? Come on
That sucks
19-19 right now. Who ever wins this round wins the fight.
ok whiskey tango foxtrot they just cut off the last 10 seconds
A round a piece
The quick cuts are probably due to the fact the when this begun they really didn’t cut in enough time I guess soo they are cutting early and hope the 8 second dely. Will cover the last few moments
This is for the fight right here
what the?
Takedown Nate
Nate has his back
Could be all for Neer. He looks out of gas
did Nate get the Takedown?
Diaz looks gassed
Nate take this fight
They both look out of fuel
Nate 29-28
guida won!
nate will win!
Close. but have to go with Diaz
Danzig v Guida = fight of the night (of the aired fights)
WTF!!!!!
diaz wins
i wanted diaz to win even though josh is from my state
IOWA!
Which is fight of the night?
go Diaz
Nate definitely won that fight
great fight night
can’t wait
Where the hell is the KOuch?
I also like the MFS camp
ya where is he?
want to see guida’s bro in ultimate fighter!
It has to be Nate
oh! diaz wins by split disicion!
Even Neer thought Nate won every round!
that was a awesome judo throw!
Split for Diaz ok nice
300+ nice Kris
Is Diaz classy or what?
ya that was funny he shook his head when he knew he lost split
Split decision??? How could anybody think Neer won 2 of those rounds?
I want to see the Alessio Sakara head kick
Thug Life
I was hoping to see that to All, but not tonight. Maybe tomorrow on YouTube
Is it time to start talking about TUF 8 ?
And did Diaz call out KJ for Nick
Dude passes out in Dana’s presence. whats he gonna do in the octagon?
Dana just said Big Nog IS the UFC HW champion
This was taped way before the Randy announcement
I thought Randy Couture was the champ
Hey I’m almost top 3
lol…. OWNED !!!!
That’s right timcat… I was still thinking I waqs watching live fighting… you know you’re ruining this experience for me…
DolfanG, Right but that was before he resigned Randy
Sorry dude. kris posted the new TUF * article. See you there
Jason Guida is choking the toilet… Good thinking… go there out of shape… I can see where he’s going.
What!!!! Randy is not in the top 10 WAMMA HW’s
1 pound??? 1 lousy pound??? that’s rough…
Is Jason Guida fat?
He hasn’t fought in a year which is kinda the citeria
Those last 2 fights were really great fights. I don’t know which one was fight of the night. Nate Diaz showed that he’s for real. What does he have to do to get his black belt?
Guida was 207 and he had to be 206. He’s out…
Hey he knew he was going to be on the show. Be a pro and get in shape. I know that round is a shape but damn.
Jason Guida was funny when he said, “Throw me $500 and I’ll fight Chuck Liddell.”
He’ll fight Chuck Liddell, but he won’t fight off the Big Macs and choclate cake.
That might be someone Liddell can still beat at this point.
Guida had to show up in shape and on weight is that too hard to do when u know u have oppritunity to be on TUF really
Gun don’t learn from Jason Guida
At least Big Nog can speak somewhat good English.
Krystoff is a beast
Krystoff quick tko nicely done
I like how Mir is standing and watching this 155 fight
Butterknife Now thats funny
Dana is a dick hahaha butterknife that’s classic
Big Nog spent at least part of his childhood right here in West Palm Beach.
FR702
I disagree with you… Gun, learn from Jason Guida’s mistake. (I know what you meant)
Trying to go to Tapout.com to see Randleman but service is not available. WTF
Knee to the Package OUCH
Thx DolfanG its been a F~up long day sorry if I didn’t specify
These guys are boring. Do something already
Brown shorts took that round easy. Even white shorts had his back he reached around and popped him in the face a few times.
Broke his nose
Later fellas
see ya timcat
And the rnc nice he did something
Frank Mir is a cool guy to be coaching every one of these guys.
Should we start doing this on the live blog thing
Country boy with skills and a loud mouth that’s going to be fun
October 18 Leben will knock out bisping… I hope he Evans’es bisping. bisping needs some humility knocked into him.
I hope Leben KO’S Bisbing as well DolfanG
365 comments tonight
Wow Dana sent him home for an unintential KNEE, I kinda can understand but the should have rematched I think
This Jose kid is nutz a new level of sh*t talk going on between these two….. “He has a better chance of getting me pregnant” f~ing really wow
Did that guy just say he wants to be porked by the other guy?
It almost sounded like he was looking for a date.
I know… sent home because of an unintential foul… that’s harsh
Would it upset the MMA world if Cote knocked Silva out???
Working towards 400 Kris gotta be proud, crazy arrogant white albino boy gots pretty good skills
It’s gotta be upsetting for the other guy to hear Mir coaching albino boy
OK… now Mir is getting on my nerves…
#371 DolfanG it would upset the MMA world but its not going to happen so u think we will be ok
Crazy white made Jose look like a puss
I can’t believe that guy just quit… He might as well get a job bagging groceries at the grocery store.
This has been a good night… I can’t believe it’s all over
The only way to top it off now would be if I win the lottery tonight.
I hope u do DolfanG
If I do, we’ll have a big MMAFrenzy party
I’m down best of luck DolfanG
Pretty good night of fights….Disappointed with Houston’s fight but his Stevie Wonder style elbow dodges on the ground were priceless. Nate’s kneebar passes and the judo takedown made the main event fight of the night IMO. My wife was killing me cracking on Belcher’s shorts/diaper.Glad he called out K.J. too.And giving Props to Neer was a classy move. Danzig and Guida seemed a little bit of a letdown. I guess I built it up too much. The Double punch by Danzig was cool(reminded me of the kick I mentioned earlier tonight). The wife thinks Clay should call replace the cave man in the insurance ads…
I thought Nick held a made up belt. Isn’t he champion at like 160 or something dumb like that? Anyway, its only EliteXC so…
Shaw made the 160lbs championship in hope that Nick would beat Noons well that exactly didn’t happen now Noons is “ducking” Diaz as far as most people are concerned including Nick and Nate
FR702,
Thanks to wikipedia I now have a better knowledge of the situation. As far as I’m concerned Nick is a punk with no class. Thankfully Nate learned from at least some of his dumb moves.
