Johnson to Fill In for Bruno at Fight Night 10

Posted by Kris Karkoski on Jun 10, 2007 at 7:38 am ETNo Comments

Anthony Johnson will make his UFC debut as a late replacement for an injured Steve Bruno.

Bruno, an Iraq war veteran, tore his rotator cuff last week forcing him out of this fight and likely out of competition for several months. The fight was to be Bruno’s first in the UFC but instead it will be Johnson’s first fight inside the octagon.

Johnson is 3-0 in his MMA career holding wins Jonathan Romero, Rich Moskowitch, and Keith Wilson. He stopped his first bout in the first round via TKO while his other two fights have gone to decision.

His opponent is Chad Reiner who lost his UFC debut earlier this year to Josh Burkman. The fight is on the undercard portion of the event.
