Despite news to the complete contrary from broadcaster Spike TV UFC President told Steve Sievert of The Houston Chronicle that Noah Thomas and Marlon Sims will not have their street fight rematch on The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale.

Here is what UFC President Dana White said about the situation:

“They’re not fighting on the finale,” said UFC President Dana White. “Not only are they not fighting in the finale, they’ll never fight in the UFC. Spike wanted that fight. It ain’t gonna happen. No (expletive) way is that fight going to happen. Those guys will never fight in the UFC – ever.

So why did Spike release a statement saying they were fighting on the finale? Here is what White said regarding the blunder:

Mistakes happen. I didn’t find out about it until yesterday. We make mistakes over here … it’s unfortunate.

The duo brawled on an episode of the show which featured several cheap shots and slams onto concrete in what was referred to as the “most technical street fight” the cast members had ever seen.
