Wanderlei by any he chooses, best shot is Rmapage hanging out of the ropes knocked out by Wanderlei, I see no change in the third fight compared to the first two

  • Joey D says:

This is shaping up to be a great card!!

  • The Gunslinger says:

if silva cant land his knees he wont win…if rampage works on the clinch he takes this one easily….unless couture has other plans for him

  • Rhymeskill15 says:

this is great!!!! i think rampage has this one…hopefully after his latest incident he rebounds and returns to the cage a better fighter…and i think he will be more focused…he is with a new camp so lets see how well they prepare him for this fight…it is going to be a good one…

  • KOuch says:

We are all so F-ing lucky right now. Then end of 2008 is packed with great MMA. Mostly thanks to the UFC for that….. I see no reason why Wandy won’t win AGAIN. Wandy is Rampage’s achilles heel just as Rampage is Chucks.

  • DolfanG says:

I think this is bad timing for Rampage. This guy has already beaten Rampage twice and now they’re going to fight again… With all that Rampage must have on his mind right now and then he has to prepare for a fight with a guy that treated him badly the other 2 times they met. I would so much prefer to see Rampage offered Irvin or somebody like that so he can train and get his mind right before he takes on Silva again. I like Rampage and would like for him to have a long career as a champion or contender, but the timing for this fight is bad for him.

  • Ronny Badass says:

I was hoping for Machida vs Silva @ UFC 89 and Jackson vs Shogun/Tiago Silva @ UFC 91. **** it just bring on the fights!!!

  • Rhymeskill15 says:

yea ronny im with u..those are exciting matchups..
but hey, this is not bad @ all!!!!

  • DolfanG says:

Will Rampage be able to concentrate on his training and concentrate on his fight plan while he’s sweating bullets about the felonies that he’s facing? Especially against a guy that has his number…

  • DolfanG says:

Silva is such a great fighter, but, honestly, he is one of the ugliest people I’ve seen… That boy has a face that could scare the black off a skillet.

  • mburtoni says:

Rampage is a different fighter than he was back then; both of his losses to Silva were before he started being coached by Jaunito Ibarra. His stand-up is much crisper now than it was back then. Despite Rampage losing to Silva twice, I think this fight is pretty even.

  • DolfanG says:

I understand your point about his coach, but didn’t he just change coaches?

I’m not even questioning his ability to be a good match for Silva, that’s a fight I would like to see, what I’m questioning is how well he’ll be able to mentally prepare for a fight right now with 3 felonies hanging over his head. The prospect of spending some years in prison must be taking away from his concentration.

  • nev-o says:

just like the 1st two times jackson is getting knocked out

  • Rhymeskill15 says:

haha silva is an ugly foo huh!?!? lol
    looks like a monkey..

  • swanny44 says:

i doubt rampage is even worried about going to prison when they tell you hes facing anything from probation to 3 years he’ll get probation lots of money for a lawyer if the most he would face is 3 years itll never happen maybe if they said max was 10 he might do a couple but not this time

  • UFC fan says:

omg i now i relly love 91! its gonna be awesome gonzaga fighting amir maybe fighting sevenson vs kenflo! lesnar vs couture!!!!!!!!!

  • UFC fan says:

wanderlei will beatrampage IMO since wanderlei beat rampage in the first to fights hes in rampages head he cant beat him i hope this happens future HEAVY WIEGHT CHAMPION THE AXE MURDERER WANDERLEI SILVA!!!!

  • G says:

the only way for rampage to win is the mental. if he can stay focused and keep his head a float, i see nothing stopping him (i.e. liddell, henderson). if not, than consider it an easy confidence booster in silva, telling himself “yeah, i still got it.”

  • Smitty says:

I THINK THIS MIGHT BE THE BIGGEST AND BEST PPV BESIDES UFC 81

  • del says:

can’t wait, never saw the first two fights, too bad jackson fired ibarra

  • Rhymeskill15 says:

this has potential to be one of the top cards in ufc history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    yea..I SAID IIIT!!!

  • Leo says:

I think Rampage will defently be ready for wondy he is gunna be on his A game… He souldnt be in this situation anyways rematch for the title is what really whe all should be talking about!

  • Josh V says:

Rampage, in my humble opinion, doesn’t know what he’s in for. Did you guys get a chance to see the mini documentary on Silva’s new “hypoxia” training? It’s seriously the closest thing to death I’ve ever seen. To break it down, Silva’s strength and stamina is at an all-time high. He’s never been in better shape, and, by his own admittance, he’s never been more focused. I think he’s got this in the bag. Silva by TKO.

  • Josh V says:

Plus, not to mention, this match is going to primarily be a boxing match. And we all know Juanito Ibarra was the best coach for him (in boxing) hands down. I don’t know if Wolfslair is going to give him the boxing he needs for this fight.

  • DolfanG says:

Winning a fight is largely mental. I don’t care if Rampage has been told by a team of lawyers that he’s not looking at prison time, when your butt is on the line with the potential of going up the river, you think about it. I don’t see that fight ending any way except Jackson getting knocked out. Why are they even having Silva – Jackson 3? I don’t get that… they made Franklin change weight divisions so there wouldn’t be a Silva – Franklin 3… I am so confused…

  • DolfanG says:

This might have been a much better fight if Rampage’s troubles were behind him and he could just think about preparing for Silva.

  • Josh V says:

    DolfanG,

I agree with you totally, my friend. Take into account Jackson’s legal issues and the fact that he’s already – not just lost, but been knocked out by – the same man twice…..it’s going to be a tough mental battle for him. No doubt.

  • DolfanG says:

Yeah. Josh, I just think the timing for this fight is all wrong… Isn’t Rua ready to go? Is he already scheduled to fight? What about Bonner? Is his suspension up yet? There must be another LHW match they could make.

  • DolfanG says:

It seems to me like, most of the time. they’re too quick to make a rematch. I’m not talking about Jackson – Silva specifically, just in general. I’m all in favor of a rematch between Henderson and Silva, but not right now. I think both fighters should have to fight a few times before that rematch happens. But, Griffin and Bonnar for example… too soon… Liddell and Couture 3… too soon… Couture and Belfort… too soon… Just thinking… maybe I’m looking at it wrong…

  • timcat says:

Just when Rampage is getting his head straight, there’s Wandy to knee him back into delirium!!!

  • Blair says:

I dont like either fighter ive always liked chuck liddell and forrest griffin in the 205 class every since ive started watching.but if i had to pick i would say rampage will get the victory anf i think it will be a knockout

  • Dietrich says:

    Del,
Get the fights on DVD you will love them! Also worth looking for are the lead up Pride PPV’s.Rampage talks alot of trash about Wanderlei.

  • UFC fan says:

thats what im thinking ufc 91 is gonna be the best card ever!!!!! so many great fight like couture coming back gonzafga fighting amir fighting maybe stevenson vs KENFLO!! ong i cant wait for this card!! and wavderlei would beat rampage again hes gotten inside his head from beating him twice already!

geat fight sounds like wanderlei vs forrest for the light heavy wieght chapionship!!!!! to me

when i saw the chuck vs wanderlei fight it seemsed like wandy wasn’t really into it now in his jardine fight it seemed like he brought his A game! KOing jardine when chuck couldnt even beat him!!

  • ALL_VICTIM says:

    UFC 91 , F###ing MAD!!!!

I hope Rampage’s head is in the right place

  • boot says:

silva is one of my favorite fighters. i agree hes ugly haahahahah. i bet he gets more **** than everyone on this board combined…hahaah. silva TKO jackson 2nd round.

  • timcat says:

    Boot,

    speak for yourself my man.

  • ALEX says:

GODDAMN IT I WANTED WANDERLEI SILVA TO FIGHT RASHAD EVANS SO WANDERLEI CAN KNOCK HIM OUT COLD.

  • KOTFO says:

Forrest griffin is a nobody…he got lucky with shogun.. ill tell if they fight again hes done… griffin is nothing… SILVA by KO 2 round… then is silva rashad then silva griffin

  • Bully says:

It would be sweet to see Wanderlei KO Evans. But i would also love to see Rampage get wasted for the third time by the axe murderer.

    DolfanG—>

You are probably confusing Anderson Silva and Wanderlei Silva. Franklin is a Middleweight and faced Anderson twice, NOT Wanderlei.

  • Bully says:

Forrest isn’t too bad. He would lose to “Shogun” if there would be a remach since Rua had an injured knee and wanted to fight anyway. He was so out of his game at that fight. When he’s at 100% he will win no doubt (KO). Those knees would destroy anyone.

  • bsbiz says:

    Good Lord…. Three months. Wow…

  • justin says:

Yeah, that’s quite a long time, and what’s really funny is that DolfanG doesn’t even post here anymore, but if Bully read more recent topics rather than reviving dead ones he’d know that.
