There are two sides of it an no the fighters don’t make huge bank but from the management side,1 year with Zuffa is better than an Ivy league MBA.

Dana White started a company very few thought would succeed. In doing so, he signed fighters to exclusive, and long term contracts. There are two sides to this story — Dana’s — he was taking a big risk and signed good fighters for what is now seen as minimum wage — The Fighters — MMA and UFC has taken off, Dana is making a lot of money, SHOW ME THE MONEY. You can make a argument for either side.

DolfanG is right! I too don’t hate Dana. I hate the way they pay their fighters. I understand they are in business to make money, I get that, but how much do you really need. Share some of the wealth.

The funny thing is I was thinking just the opposite… Why does everybody LOVE Dana White so much? The UFC is making MILLIONS of dollars and Dana owns 10% of the company. He’s making a ton of money, but the fighters, for the most part, don’t make squat. They fight maybe 4 times a year and make maybe $5000. For what they do, that ain’t much money. I hate to see a guy or guys getting so rich while other guys are struggling to get by when there’s really plenty of money to go around… I know… I know… win more and you make more, but the guy from the other corner wants to win more too. It’s tough when there is money available and they still can’t get paid.

I agree with that Kouch> I am always shocked Zuffa isn’t listed as one of the great companies to work for in the business mags.

i could see why alot of people thought dana was a prick, and i’m sure behind closed doors he can be tough to work with. but that’s negotiations for you, it’s not a friendly environment. i’ve spoken to people that work directly with dana and the fertida’s and he said they were all super cool guys, way down to earth and fun to work with so i’m sure alot of it is just that he wants a certain image due to the fact that he’s the face of a fight promotion. on a side note, where do i sign up to get my ass kicked too? i’ll even take a kick to the balls if my paycheck starts coming from zuffa.
