They expect Ike to slide by the bottom of Florida possibly even hitting Cuba and missing the Keys all together. As it passes by Florida, a trough from the west will direct Ike back toward Florida around Tamps or Gainesville. Once Ike hits the warm water from the Gulf, it should strengthen and that would make it a real monster if it hits Tampa or Gainesville. If that’s the scenerio, my heart goes out to those people. That’s gonna suck. Everything will get torn up… no power… flooded streets… no gasoline… everything closed… hot, humid and no AC. I’ve lived it numerous times and don’t want to live it anymore. That guy then would become the next challenge for Randy. That's the point. Weed out the pretenders and get down to the contenders. There's always going to be another guy coming along that, after a few fights, will spur interest. Look at John Fitch. How many fights did he have before he challenged GSP? He was brought along real well. He lost, but there was a lot of interest in that fight. They didn't have Fitch fight GSP after 2 or 3 fights on his record.
