World Victory Road Announces Sengoku 4 Fight Card, Sengoku 5 Additions
World Victory Road yesterday announced the official fight card for Sengoku 4, which takes place on August 24th at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Sengoku 4 features a main event lightweight bout between former PRIDE champion Takanori Gomi and Bang Seung Hwan. The opening round of the promotion’s 2008 lightweight grand prix is also slated for the event.
The complete fight card features:
- Takanori Gomi vs. Bang Seung Hwan
- Makoto Takimoto vs. Frank Trigg
- Satoru Kitaoka vs. Clay French
Lightweight GP Series 2008 1st Round - Eiji Mitsuoka vs. Rodrigo Damm

World Victory Road also announced on Tuesday that Xande Ribeiro, Roger Gracie, and Jorge Masvidal will be in action in separate bouts at Sengoku 5 and also announced the addition of Yuki Sasaki to the promotion’s middleweight tournament field.

Takanori Gomi when he trains and takes his opponents seriously he is great to watch, i just hope that he doesnt have a lacluster performance
Trigg v Takimoto should be fun to watch and Schultz being in the GP is pretty cool
WVR imo isnt as good as their “cousin” DREAM but they do have very entertaining fights and fighters….
I would really enjoy it if just one single time just one show, have the “PRIDE announcer lady” introduce UFC fighters o to hear Wanderlei Silva’s name drawn out and crazy like that is awesome.. just one time!!! one card!!!! please!!
Gomi needs to come to the states and fight.
