Yeah, I agree. That match up could be the Headliner. Toss in a couple TUFfie matches, yet another “surprize” announcement from Dana and you & I are out another $40.

Still I agree with the general notion that a Wanderlei vs. Chuck much is still a big draw. It didn’t make sense when one was a champion and the other lost 2 in a row but now they have both lost it make complete sense. I am really hoping this is a co-main event on the same card with Jackson v. Henderson but this fight is still big enough to headline its own event.

I thought Wanderlei was knocked out in the third round against Henderson? That wouldn’t qualify as a quick KO.

I think they rushed in calling this a numbered event. I think they will eventually rethink their naming and will come up with a middle event above the fight nights but below PPVs. This event would have fit the bill but with Spike declining to air it and the HBO deal not done yet.

I think they may eventually simply call them UFC: Saturday Night Fights or something but we’ll have to wait and see what they ultimately decide on I just know a lot of fans who aren’t buying this event because of how poor the card is right now.

Hmmm, I not sure anyone can save 72 at this point. This is the 1st time in quite a while that I won’t be buying a UFC PPV.

Could be that their finacial model after aquiring Pride requires them to crank out a PPV every month regardless of content.

I guess I shouldn’t whine. Even with this dud they have a pretty good average.

Adding Rua to the card could at least ease the pain of it quite a bit…
