UFC light-heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin and UFC lightweight Mac Danzig are apparently testing out their acting chops these days, portraying police officers in the new Tucker Max movie “I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell”. As a long-time aficionado of the Tucker Max stories, I find this news to be quite awesome as I was not even aware that Mr. Max had gotten himself a movie deal from his book of the same title.

Hmmmm….Forrest has proven to be funny. Danzig has proven to be an up tight weirdo…..this should be good.

Also barely related to MMA, Rachelle Leah will be featured nude in playboy. That’s much more news worthy than Mac Danzig in a flick. Seriously, she is, read it on mmarated.com

That is probably the funniest book I have ever read! I had know idea that they were turning it into a film. Should be interesting. I wonder if they are going to keep it as a bunch of short stories or turn it into one long film?

Are you guys serious?! Read the book. Tucker Max is friggin hilarious. The only book that I have ever read that literally made me laugh out loud while I was on the subway! I’m not kidding. This is some great stuff. If shot correctly this could be an “amazing” movie!
*I put amazing in quotes because I hate how over used that word is, but it def fits for this occasion.

You should read Hunter S. Thomspons -Kingdom of Fear.- Great book….sorry….I hate reading but that was a great book I had to thro out there……back to MMA.
Ha, much like yourself Eric I too am a huge fan of mma/this book. I did hear they were going to produce this movie but didnt expect much of that news or to see forrest/mac in it. Always great to see MMA fighters branching off to make, if this is 1/2 as good as the book it’ll be a cult classic.
animal hit the nail right on the head. Forrest is the funny one. but every funny person needs a nearly emotionless straight man. See Penn and Teller for an example.
But I hate Tucker Max and all his unoriginal crap, so I’ll pass on it.

I will def check it out. Hunter is one of my fav. writers of all time. I mean seriously, Johnny Dep and Bill Murray both played DR. Gonzo who is based on him. Can’t argue that!
