Ear2theStreet - Mark Cuban and HDNet were supporting Couture and were requesting summary judgment for clarification on Couture's contract status but it was denied and Couture and the UFC are in arbitration in Nevada.

If I'm wrong I'm wrong, But isn't Mark Cuban paying/handling Randy's legal troubles? aznstar_inc I completely agree with you, I admit that I assumed (yes, i know what happens when you assume) that a guy wouldn't be dumb enough to DEMAND a huge raise from his CEO unless he was certain someone else was ready to give it to him. If he was misquoted than this whole topic is pointless and turned out to be free Publicity. Now if he wasn't and someone has offered it to him he wont mind getting thrown out of the building because he'll land on his feet. Sorry for the assumptions

Roger has already come out and said he was kind of misqouted. He went on to say how he know what the UFC and Dana White have given to him, it looks like he understands that this is the big show.

Ear2thestreet- your analogy is a bit off. Huerta isn't getting offered more than Penn he's almost demanding it. Which in real world term would be you going to your CEO and saying I want more than my manager. Even though he's been here longer and done more for the company and I'm not close to his level. Now you tell me if that's a smart move? I'm pretty sure you get thrown out the building and made fun of around the office cooler.

Ear2street,

Not losing sleep? Have you ever had legal troubles? Randy was given half a million and then breached his contract. He has troubles to keep him awake for a long time. Perhaps you are unaware of all the details. Wanting to fight the best has very little to do with the situation. It's all about the money. The UFC pays guys just fine. The problem is a few fighters wanting more. Nothing wrong with wanting more but up to this point all the fighters who wanted more have done nothing me than show why they don't deserve it.

Randy got greedy and jealous that Fedor was going to make more.

Tito is just a moron. I've read his non sense, heard him speak, watched his ridiculous outrages and have been saying for a long time that the guy is not very bright. Tough with little brains.(Sorry Kris, I know you don't like name calling but what else can I say?)

Roger Huerta needs to beat Florian and just like Dana said, after that they can re-negotiate. Up to now, what has Roger done to deserve the money?

KOUCH - Somehow I don't think Randy is losing any sleep over, trying to fight the best heavyweight while making more money. VS. Making less money and being spoken in the same breath with the UFC's worthless division. I agree its a business with a model and a plan. But if dana wants the best organization he needs the best fighters and to provide decent pay. If he cant provide that there will always be a promoter who will try. Is huerta demanding a bit much,(probably) but I'm pretty sure if anyone was offered double what they are making at their current job, they wouldn't say "Let me think, and make sure i deserve it." Or maybe you wouldn't take it because "BOB" has been with the company longer works hard and doesn't make that much. Give me a !@#$ing break !!!!

Some of you are over analyzing and thinking too deep into this. It's a business with a model, plan and rules. That's that. If fighter's don't like their situation, they can pull a Randy and regret their decision later.
