Making any fighter wait a year to fight is stupid and I don't like the PPV cards that do not feature a belt on the line. I actually would love to see some sort of tournament of champions across the promotions, but that will never happen. I am also glad that I get to see more MMA fights, I also have HD Net. I got HD Net specifically because of all of the MMA airings. I just do not want this to become a fad and fizzle out because too many people are trying to make cash off of it. Over saturation is not good for MMA and neither is people putting on cheesy shows. Go all out or don't go at all. Keep the crappy shows off of TV; it makes MMA fans look bad. Strikeforce, EliteXC, UFC, Affliction, and WEC are competing for people who do not really know anything about MMA. Any promotion can put two sorry fighters on TV and the mainstream world does not know they suck. The hardcore fans do and it pisses us off to see these scrubs fight for a championship belt (Lawler vs. Smith I & II). These guys are not world champion material. They both suck. MMA needs to spread by hardcore fans indoctrinating others into the sport and imparting our knowledge onto them. This is sure fire way to keep Bubba Fights from getting on primetime and looking like a rag tag production. The Mega Death thing on Affliction was stupid and the EliteXC productions are a joke, same goes for Strikeforce. The WEC has a pretty good production (mostly because it is owned by the UFC). The UFC puts on the best overall show; even if some of the fights suck, the show is professional with some decent commentating. We don't need an over saturation which makes it all go away.
