Drew McFedries vs. Mike Massenzio Added To UFC Fight Night 15 Preliminary Card
Middleweights Drew McFedries and UFC newcomer Mike Massenzio will go toe-to-toe at UFC Fight Night 15 on September 17th in Omaha, Nebraska, according to MMA Junkie.
McFedries (7-3) has earned all three of his UFC victories with first-round knockouts over Alessio Sakara, Jordan Radev, and Marvin Eastman. He has never made it out of the first round inside the octagon, however, as his losses to Martin Kampmann and Patrick Cote also came in the opening frame.
Massenzio (10-2) is an IFL veteran and a member of the New York-based Team BombSquad. After winning nine-straight bouts primarily in Reality Fighting and Ring of Combat, Massenzio was defeated by Danillo Villefort via first-round submission in his IFL debut in May. He has signed a four-fight deal with the UFC.
Two of Massenzio’s teammates, Jon Jones and John Franchi, also recently signed deals with the UFC and WEC respectively, both of which are owned by Zuffa, LLC. Jones will debut against Andre Gusmao at UFC 87 later this month while Franchi is expected to take on Jose Aldo at WEC 36 in September.
The McFedries-Massenzio bout is expected to be on the un-televised preliminary card but may be shown if time permits, especially if either fighter is able to secure a first-round stoppage.

Looks like a lot of IFL’s prime talent is getting signed by the UFC. Good for the fans to have new faces in the big show. I’ve been hoping for Mcfedries to do good for a while now. I believe it was his mother who was murdered not too long ago in a rather brutal manner. I feel for him and wish he could have a successful run as a dose of good karma.
i didnt know that happened to Mcfedries…..now i feel bad for rooting for cote when they fought
I wouldn’t feel bad for going against him…..just be compassionate. Dannyboy the hippy liberal knows all about compassion…..he wrote the book on it. Ask him about it.
When the hell is Amir fighting again?
good question. So good in fact, I will reiterate it. When the hell is Amir fighting again?
drew always lets me down he will do oppisite of whatever I pick i think he will lose this one but he will probably ko this guy
Drew can be really exciting to watch. Like KOuch, I feel bad for the guy. While he isn’t as good as I had first hoped when I saw him…he’s still a potentially “fight of the night” fighter everytime he shows up.
I dunno about compassion anymore KOuch… Apparently I’m a donut eating redneck hillbilly no culture and full of racism…
Dannyboy the key is where you buy the doughnut…If its Walmart you have a problem…
Alright these are the official rules of the message board:

Like the above message made it clear only may Slick have the right to choose to refer to whoever as to his liking. If Slick feels you are a donut eating redneck hillbilly with no culture and full of racism then that you are. Slick wherever you are i support you. Bulgaria supports you. Now please KO Dannyboy and send him back to the trailer parks. You, Slick are the king of MMA Frenzy, now i will do as a loyal villager and bow to my king.
Slick cheers to you, I look forward to reading your intelligent and passionate conversations.
Now i must be gone, but before i go i must chant
Slick 4 life, Slick 4 life, Slick 4 life
dont no who this make guy is so ide have to pick drew to win this fight, his two losses in the ufc are to two top guys in the 185 divison so hes not under to much pressure to win which will be good for him to put on a good show,
ide also like to here some news about amir, come on kris u must no something?
I don’t care who John Frenchi is the kid is numbered with his first loss if Jose Aldo is his apponent. No disrespect intended but it might rush things if you through the kid to the wolves so to speak like they did with Chance Farrar. Remeber this kid was suposed to be Awesome but he lost more than he won in the WEC.
I like Mike Massenzio. Drew Mcfedries is way overrated and will not be championship material with a ****ty ground game.
i think marko is slick in disguise
Good fight for Unleashed this fall…
