UFC Chatter: Bonnar Took Steroids In Hopes of Healing Elbow
“I was desperate. My right elbow had been bad for a while, and I hurt it bad getting ready for Rashad [Evans on June 28]. Right after that fight, I thought I’d have some time off to do some therapy, rehab and heal. And five days later, I get a call to fight Forrest in a month and a half. I was worried. Here come the excuses, typical cheater fashion.
Yeah it’s cheating but at least he had a legit reason not just “I wanted to buff up so I could beat better people”. I’m not mad at him that’s for sure for why he did it. There would have been better ways to go about it but it’s in the past and he needs to focus on 73 now.
The excuse is the elbow, I dont buy it. He didnt want to lose to Forrest a second time so he cheated. When caught “oh my elbow hurt and I needed it to heal faster” WTF ever.
Steroids do nothing without hard training, they aren’t some sort of magic pill. I wouldn’t call them cheating, what if they were low to begin with?
They are illegal for no reason I guess. Same with HGH, they only do something if you train hard. Oh wait they make it so you can train harder than people who dont use illegal narcotics.
BS, there is such thing a cortisone shot to heal joints. I’m sure that’s legal, why not try that? I’ll bet half these guys are using adn are just better than Bonner at beating the test.
