“Referee John McCarthy has been selected to officiate the Chuck Liddell-Quinton Jackson light heavyweight title bout at May 26’s UFC 71 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The Nevada State Athletic Commission has also assigned Glenn Trowbridge, Cecil Peoples, and Nelson Hamilton as judges for the rematch.”

I am very happy “Big” John will be officiating this bout between two of the games elites. This should insure NO EARLY STOPPAGES. “Rampage” annihilated Chuck in PRIDE and deserves his fair shot at the belt. I think Jackson will win by KO in the 1st or early 2nd round but with the “Iceman’s” stand up game you never can tell. I do think Chuck’s reign will soon come to an end, even though he has been the greatest light-heavyweight in the sports history.
Yep this is very good news. There should be no complaints from anyone after the fight is over.
