Jesse Taylor Released By The UFC

Jesse TaylorJesse Taylor has been released by the UFC following his debut loss to CB Dollaway at UFC Fight Night 14. Yesterday, The Wrestling Observer reported that Taylor had been released by the promotion.

Taylor, who was originally scheduled to compete in the finals of “The Ultimate Fighter 7″, was kicked out of the promotion temporarily following a drunken Las Vegas rampage that included him kicking out the window of a limousine.

He was invited to return, however, and took on “The Ultimate Fighter 7″ runner-up CB Dollaway at UFC Fight Night 14. Taylor lost the contest via first-round submission and though the loss alone may not have been enough to get booted from the UFC his comments on former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson’s arrest and the UFC’s disciplinary actions sealed his fate.

“What goes around, comes around, I guess,” said Taylor. “I didn’t even know until I watched the show, but he said ‘He doesn’t deserve to to represent the company,’ and look what happened to him. It’s a big double standard. I’m sure if I was the ex-middleweight champion, I could get away with stuff. I’m sure if I would have done (what Jackson did), I’d be banned.”

Don’t be surprised if Taylor signs a deal with a major rival promotion in the very near future.

this guy’s the new age tito. Probably said what he did cause he knew he’d get cut. Affliction pays more anyway…

  • Mike says:

This guys an idiot at least tito was good.

  • Fiveson says:

Not sorry to hear this at all. The guy is a prick, and while I’m sure he can be a great fighter in the right camp, the sport does not need people like him. Buh bye.

  • Henry says:

O yea, and not to mention Rampage is THIRTY TIMES THE FIGHTER YOU ARE! Shut up fool. Your fights were never entertaining anyway. Quinton will make a very big apology I feel, and I think there are some deep rooted things wrong with Quinton too. That doesn’t excuse it at all, but still I think there is something wrong with Rampage, Jesse was just being a prick.

  • JOHNBOY says:

im not a fan of taylor but i dont hate the guy, all i can say is he was speaking the truth, rampage has been a jackass and should pay for it,

  • Ethan says:

I never recall Quinton judging him?????? Yeah, the big thing here is YOU’RE NOT the former champ. This guy is a fool and will never compete with anyone that has talent.

  • JustJoe says:

I don’t like the guy, but I agree with him about the double standard. What Rampage did was so f-in unreal, he could have killed numerous people, but i’m sure he’ll be back in the near future. While Taylor was a dumbazz, it doesn’t compare to what Rampage did.

  • kelvin says:

OH MY GOD, WE LOST JESSE TAYLOR, WHAT R WE GONNA DO??? THE UFC IS FINISHED NOW!!

    …what an a**

  • Jeremyjackson says:

Jesse’s gonna get good and hammered tonight, methinks.

  • natedogg77 says:

He fits the stereotype of a dumb jock. I got tired of hearing him talk through his nose anyway.

  • jazzkok says:

This dude should cut the forplay and sign with affliction where all the other ufc rejects (beside fedor of course) are. Rampage isn’t a retard like he is and tito was a pioneer and a former champ.

  • mma_k9 says:

This guy has nothing special for the UFC. Just another lay n pray fighter who will probably go down a harder road then Rampage once he has a little cash in his pocket. What Rampage did was so out of character, i wouldn’t be suprised at all if he has been diagnosed with bi-polar or something….psychologically he’s in a bad way….jesse is just a douche and acted a drunk fool….i mean come on…who the **** u no pisses themself? im shocked he’s a dad! Atleast Rampage was entertaining…glad he ditched Juanito!

  • City Boxer says:

Wait, When did Rampage leave Ibarra? Taylor was talented…..i mean if he wasn’t would he have beel in the tuf finals? He is immature, and what he said about Rampage was kind of insinsitive but Rampage said some stuff about Taylor on the show.

  • FixXeR says:

I feel bad for rampage….he obviously had a mental breakdown which is completly different than getting drunk and kicking out windows. TAYLOR IS A DUECHBAG.

  • timcat says:

Jesse was the most entertaining guy on the show.
Quit all the hate for the guy. He would kick all your asses. He is right there is a double standard
Dana White needs to wake up and get his monster ego in check before Affliction over takes them, I know Elite XC is not even in the same league as the UFC, but Affliction will be if he don’t wake up.Hey Kapp this cake is Exhuberant!!

  • braveheart says:

Taylor is out of his depth in the ufc a lay and pray wrestler

He’ll probably fight Robbie lawler for the elite xc middelweight title lol

  • Gonzo says:

    timcat,

You are right on with this guy. He was entertaining and semi-crazy on the TUF 7. He reminded me of Chris Leben on TUF 1, but could actually back up his talk. (Leben lost twice) He is already known on UFC, as “the one that may have been King.” I see him as a big draw on Elite XC or Affliction. How many other ass-kicking Jews are there?

  • Dietrich says:

He got punished he has the right to speak his mind about punishment for others. The difference he damaged Station Casinos and Rampage took it out of town…

  • natedogg77 says:

Didn’t know Rampage fired Juanito. Juanito wasn’t giving Rampage any kind of technical advice between rounds during his fight with Forrest. Saying crap like “you gotta make him fight you” what kind of B.S. is that?

  • kapp1179 says:

you know what else is good….when you dip hamburgers in ranch hahahahhahahahahahha. yea timcat

  • Dietrich says:

He fired Juanito…So it wasn’t just one dumb move last month…

  • ufcmanz says:

Clearly fighters are not threated the same, 1 fighter kicks out a window and is being a dumbass to some women when he is drunk. So he is kicked out of a chance to win a 100,000 dollar contact. While another fighter takes the cops on a high speed run through traffic and then nothing is really said in public about him? KK if you didn’t know both guys names, which one is worse and did both got fair punishment?

  • Pete90 says:

goood, poor showing against CB. He was boring another organisation would snap him up just to spite the UFC..lets be realistic though who really wants to see someone lay on top of his opponent for 3 rounds???

  • Stef says:

Good I’m glad he’s gone. There are soo many better fighters I would rather see on the cards then all of the TUF cast members all the time.

  • Dannyboy says:

This guy reminds me of Biff from Back to the Future.

Good ridance. I just hope EliteXC or Affliction doesn’t pick him up.

  • Jrok07 says:

Jesse Is absolutely right. He kicked out a window and told some security officers or receptionists he was in the UFC. Rampage ran innocent by-standers off the road in a ****in monster truck and was arrested at gun point. Jesse has a lot of skill and i don’t believe it all came out at the palms.

  • KOuch says:

Jesse is a bum! F’em! He has no business comparing himself to Rampage. Rampage has been great oppose to JT who has been nothing but entertaing by pissing on himself and going on drunken rampages.

  • Zero says:

what a shame… the guy had so much potential. i really thought he was going to win the whole show. he will get signed by excite or affliction.
