ANyone have a look at the Affliction Salaries? Man that’s incredible…Sylvia took home 800,000 for a 36 second loss, more than from UFC in his whole career I would guess!!!

Again this proves Dana’s negotiations team is top notch. Fighter salaries in the UFC are always iffy at best.

The salary issue is a function of having or not having a good agent,among other reasons. Brandon Vera is(was) more “marketable” than other fighters due to his earlier wins over some good fighers and therefore had a stronger negotiating position than the other non-champion fighters.

Accepting lower purses is sometimes a take-or leave-it proposition and don’t forget about the “instant fame” factor – just at the last fight of that night.

Notwithstanding, Urijah Faber made less than a $50K (purse) againt Jens – that’s the shame!

people need to get off vera’s back, the guy gassed out due to the weight loss, which he is not used to cuttin. as for the 200 grand he got yeah im jelous too but im not guna trash the guy for doin good business,
