Bellator took to Lewiston, Maine for tonight’s Bellator 93 fight card. The card got off to an awkward start with Marcus Davis and Waachim Spiritwolf ending in a no contest. In the second fight of the Spike TV main card, Ryan Martinez defeated Travis Wiuff in a quick fight.
Martinez Crushes Wiuff
Ryan Martinez wasted little time fighting Travis Wiuff in tonight’s middle bout. Martinez connected with a hard overhand left that stunned the veteran fighter and he was unable to recover as Martinez jumped all over him to put him away. Martinez has now won two straight fights since dropping a tough split decision loss to Mike Wessel.
Davis vs. Spiritwolf Meets a Strange End
It would not be a Waachim Spiritwolf fight without a strange situation involving a foul and that is what we saw in tonight’s opener. Marcus Davis would land a devastating knee to the cup of Spiritwolf as the fighter was standing up. The Native American fighter would take the full five minutes to recover but was unable to do so and the bout was ruled a no contest to the chagrin of the fans.
