UFC 158 kicked off tonight from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with a three-fight preliminary card on Facebook. The highlight of the trio saw Rick Story prove victorious over Quinn Mulhern in a hard-hitting fight. In other action, T.J. Dillashaw and George Roop picked up victories in tonight’s opening volley of fights.

Story Finishes Mulhern
Rick Story nabbed a much-needed victory when he defeated Strikeforce import Quinn Mulhern in tonight’s final Facebook fight. Story made it clear he was gunning for a big finish early, avoiding the ground with the talented grappler. The fight hinged on a massive left from story that landed flush on the eye of Mulhern. Mulhern was clearly hurt and Story never let him recover, putting him away with body shots in the first round.
Dillashaw Floors Tamura
The Ultimate Fighter 14 runner-up T.J. Dillashaw landed a huge knockout victory over Issei Tamura in the second fight of the night. After a grueling first round, Dillashaw wasted no time in attacking his opponent. Dillashaw faked low and threw a high kick that Tamura ducked right into. After catching the Team Alpha Male’s knee to the head, it was all over for the Japanese fighter at the 26-second mark of the second round.
Roop Defeats Duran
George Roop made a successful bantamweight debut by defeating Reuben Duran in tonight’s opener. The fight become a grueling affair after some explosive striking exchanges in the first. While Duran landed the takedowns, he was never able to do much with them and Roop used a very active guard to curry favor with the judges in his bantamweight debut.
