An undisclosed injury to Ryan Bader has forced the TUF winner off of UFC 160 and left Glover Teixeira looking for a new opponent. James Te Huna was happy oblige.
Te-Huna (16-5) comes into the bout on the strength of four-fight win-streak. The Kiwi most recently rallied back from the brink of defeat to take a unanimous decision victory over Ryan Jimmo at UFC on Fuel TV 7 and now hunts what would be his biggest win to date.
Teixeira (20-2) rides an extremely impressive 18-fight win-streak, with 16 of those victories coming by way of stoppage. The Chuck Liddell protege is undefeated inside the octagon, most recently taking a dominant unanimous decision victory over former champion Quinton Jackson at UFC on Fox 6.
UFC 160 takes place May 25 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

There’s been a lot of sudden, undisclosed injuries lately. You can’t help but wonder if maybe that’s a way to dodge a bullet these days. I mean, didn’t the pretty much JUST announce Bader/Texiera? I don’t think anyone is afraid of anyone else per se, just maybe afraid for their records sake.
I hope this isn’t the case though. I think this is a better fight, but I still want to see Bader and Glover get it on in the cage.
Bader has a kid now, doubt he’s going to try an avoid pay days. It was a knee injury.
Fighters are obviously concerned with the recent cuts that have taken place from ufc brass but I can’t see people dropping out of fights because of that. It would be a lot more damaging if someone found out you were ducking a fight than actually stepping up and losing.
Yeah, and Bader probably isn’t too concerned about being cut, and Glover has absolutly nothing to worry about.
