It would seem that, for a second time, Alistair Overeem will be unable to make his date with Junior Dos Santos. Sources close to the Dutchman have revealed that he has suffered an undisclosed injury and will be forced to sit out 5-6 weeks, leaving him unable to train appropriately for the May 25 date.
No word yet as to whether or not Dos Santos will remain on the bill, but “Reem” is hoping to face him some time in July. Meanwhile, the “Rally for Mark Hunt” has once again reared its head, as many hope that “The Super Samoan” is able to take the place of the Blackzilians fighter.
Overeem and Dos Santos were scheduled to meet at UFC 146 last year, but a random drug test showing irregular testosterone/epitestosterone levels for “Reem” kept him out of the bout and on the shelf.

Who, Overeem? That was 5 weeks ago and 11 weeks til the fight, that’s plenty of time to get over being KTFO. Not sure if that’s long enough though for him to recover from his cockiness getting the best of him.
