Behind the success of the promotion’s first women’s mixed martial arts bout at UFC 157, which saw Ronda Rousey take a win via first-round armbar over Liz Carmouche, the UFC has further bolstered its women’s division with the addition of four fighters. Former Strikeforce champion Sarah Kaufman, Julie Kedzie, Amanda Nunes, and Germaine de Randamie are all octagon bound.
All four women are Strikeforce veterans. Kaufman and Nunes currently under Invicta contract. The Canadian is currently slated to compete in April, however, according to the former champion, the working relationship between UFC’s Dana White and Invicta’s Shannon Knapp allows for the women to fight in both organizations.
