Sigh of Relief! Griffin Added Back to UFC 72 as Fight Card is Completed
In a huge relief to most UFC fans already upset that UFC 72 was to be broadcast for free on Spike only to be informed they’d have to pay to see a card lacking a title fight, Forrest Griffin has been added back onto the official fight card for the event. Today the UFC also announced 5 more bouts for the mplete barring any future changes.
- Rich Franklin vs. Yushin Okami
- Forrest Griffin vs. Hector Ramirez
- Rory Singer vs. Jason MacDonald
- Tyson Griffin vs. Clay Guida
- Jake O’Brien vs. Tom Murphy
- Scott Smith vs. Ed Herman
- Marcus Davis vs. Jason Tan
- Eddie Sanchez vs. Colin Robinson
- Dustin Hazelett vs. Stevie Lynch
The UFC made no mention of Forrest’s octagon return in a story today announcing more fights for the event even mentioning 2 fights had yet to be announced despite the official card for the event listing all 9 fights. Many fans were worried yesterday after Griffin’s information was removed from the card but it has been restored. I will pass along any changes in this card if they happen but for now it appears the UFC’s technical woes have struck again and Forrest Griffin will be fighting at UFC 72.
