The UFC 160 fight card continues to take shape as lightweights Gray Maynard and T.J. Grant are set to face off in Las Vegas. The bout is likely to be on the PPV main card. UFC officials announced the pairing late Wednesday.
Gray Maynard was supposed to be back action this past December for UFC 155 but was forced off the card with injury. The decorated lightweight is looking to continue towards another shot at the title when he faces Grant.
Canadian fighter T.J. Grant is truly one of the more underrated fighters currently at lightweight. The quiet fighter has won four straight fights since dropping to lightweight, last defeating Matt Wiman with a furious barrage of strikes. The bout with Maynard will certainly be a big test for the native of Nova Scotia.
UFC 160 takes place May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight card will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. A bout between Alistair Overeem and Junior dos Santos will co-headline the Memorial Day weekend card.
