Affliction “Banned” Live Results and Coverage
Affliction “Banned”, the clothing company-turned-MMA promotion’s inaugural event, took place on Saturday, July 19th, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Former PRIDE heavyweight champion and top-ranked heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko took on former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia in the “Banned†main event. Andrei Arlovski vs. Ben Rothwell, Josh Barnett vs. Pedro Rizzo, Mike Whitehead vs. Renato “Babalu†Sobral, and Matt Lindland vs. Fabio Negao were also featured on the main, pay-per-view card while Terry Martin vs. Vitor Belfort and Gary Goodridge vs. Paul Buentello were featured on a preliminary Fox Sports Net broadcast.

Man the second time terry martin got caught with a flying knee. Vitor is the man uppercut striaght left combo beautiful.
Did you see the UFC Burns/Johnson fight? CROOKED, CROOKED, CROOKED!! No fighter should win a fight by an ILLEGAL move! Disqualify Burns, especially after he was warned. Johnson did not loose that fight, even by the score card.
If this is allowed to stand - the UFC is no better than the crooked practices of boxing. DANA fix this or no one will believe the UFC has any integrity!
What a disgrace that was with johnson. You cant win for poking someone in the eye! Has to be given a no contest at the least
yes the johnson fight has got to be overturned that was terrible.
There are no instant replays in mma. To change the result would be crooked. It sucks but these things happen.

The Burns/Johnson fight should have gone the other way, but that happens. An accidental finger in the eye and the ref didn’t see it… It happens. Maybe they’ll have a rematch. But that’s it… it is what it is… that fight is over.

Clearly Andersen and Fedor are a cut above the rest of the fighters in the MMA World. At this point I’d say Andersen is the #1 P4P fighter in the world because he’s been more active that Fedor, but is definitely #2 or you could say he’s #1a. There just that close to each other. Both were super impressive tonight.

Ryan - Rumor is it was canceled due to time constraints but that the fighters were each given their base salary and a bonus.
Fedor P4P best fighter in the world. Anderson silva is not even close to being the P4P fighter when it comes to Fedor. Whoever they put in front of Fedor next I feel sorry for.
Fedor is unbelievable… I have kept close tabs with him since he dominated in Pride. His one loss must have been a fluke because his sambo skills make him second to none. If anderson wants a beating to understand what losing feels like, he should fight fedor. The russian military must be bad ass because he is unreal. Did anyone watch Fedor vs Wanderlei or cro-cop or for that matter Tim “the Maniac?????” silvia??? they are all a joke compared to him… give him someone good… Couture is old, but might (might) stand a chance.. probobly gets knocked out in the end of first round instead of early b/c he is a vet

Affliction event was much better than UFC fight night. UFC was boring except for the Silva/Irvin fight.
Fedor’s 1 loss was due to a cut stoppage. It happened very quickly early on in the fight. There is a bad video of it on the net.
