The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale continues to get better as UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will put his title on the line against John Moraga this April. The championship bout will headline the FX-aired card. The Las Vegas Review Journal first broke the new of the flyweight title fight.
UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will take on John Moraga after successfully defending the title in fantastic bout with Jon Dodson. Moraga will look to derail the champion after consecutive victories over Chris Cariaso and Ulysses Gomez. The MMA Lab product has won seven straight bouts dating back to a 2010 loss to Dodson.
Also added to the card were a pair of bouts involving former TUF cast members as Cole Miller faces Bart Palaszewki and Daniel Pineda takes on Justin Lawrence.
The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale takes place April 13 and is likely to land at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card will feature the UFC’s second WMMA fight as Miesha Tate takes on Cat Zingano. The finale will also feature a previously announced heavyweight matchup between Gabriel Gonzaga and Travis Browne, as well as the TUF 17 middleweight tournament final.
