A pair of Strikeforce debuts will be taking place at UFC on Fox 7 as Jorge Masvidal and Roger Bowling will be making their octagon debuts. Masvidal will be meeting Tim Means, while Bowling is welcomed by Anthony Njokuani.
Masvidal (23-7) is 3-1 in his last four bouts. “Gamebred” most recently defeated Justin Wilcox in July. The ATT product sat out eight months after dropping a unanimous decision to Gilbert Melendez in a title bout. His opponent, Tim Means (18-3), is undefeated in the UFC. “The Dirty Bird” made his promotional debut in February, taking a victory over Bernardo Magalhaes, he then defeated Justin Salas in June.
Bowling (11-3) is 2-1 in his last three bouts. “Relentless” has not competed since being outpointed by Tarec Saffiedine in August. Prior to that loss, the Ohio native took stoppage victories over Brandon Sailing and Jerron Peoples. Across the octagon, Njokuanki (15-7) has been on a bit of a roller coaster since joining the UFC ranks. “The Assassin” is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Rafael Dos Anjos in July. The WEC vet has taken victories over John Makdessi and Andre Winner during his promotional tenure.
UFC on Fox 7 is slated for April 20 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
