An unexpected issue for Dennis Siver has forced a change in the UFC on FUEL TV 7 lineup. Featherweight challenger Dustin Poirier steps up on short notice against Cub Swanson in London. The UFC announced the change up earlier today.
It is unclear why Siver was forced off the card at this time.
Dustin Poirier got back in the win column with a victory over Jonathan Brookins at the TUF 16 Finale. The win was the first for featherweight contender since his 2012 MMAFrenzy Fight of the Year loss Chan Sung Jung. Poirier will look to regain the momentum he built prior to the loss by starting a new win-streak.
Cub Swanson will be looking for his fourth straight victory when he faces Poirier in the cage. Swanson was last in action at UFC 152, where he crushed Charles Oliveira with a brutal KO.
UFC on FUEL TV 7 will be headlined by UFC interim bantamweight champion Renan Barão taking on Michael McDonald. The card will be co-headlined by the bout between Dustin Poirier and Cub Swanson. The billing will take February 16 in at the historic Wembley Arena in London, England.
