After having various bouts fall by the wayside, Michael Kuiper will be making his return to action at UFC on Fox 6 in Chicago, Illinois, where he will welcome Josh Janousek to the octagon in his promotional debut.
MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani confirmed the news.
Kuiper (12-1) is coming off of the dismantling of Jared Hamman at UFC 150. “Judo” rebounded from a loss to Rafael Netal in his promotional debut by obliterating the leg of Hamman en route to an emphatic TKO at 2:16 of the second period.
Janousek (8-1) will be entering combat for the first time since 2011. The NCAA Division II wrestler has been busy in that time, helping Junior Dos Santos and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira prepare for their bouts against Cain Velasquez and Brendan Schaub, respectively.
The middleweights are expected to meet on the preliminary portion of the bill as the UFC returns to the United Center on January 26.
