Rodish Overwhelms Frausto Late
Cassie Rodish overcame an early rush from Stephanie Frausto to bounce back and dominate the final two rounds before finishing with via TKO. The sister of the Bellator champion was unable to continue her attack, that saw her land a devastating hip toss in round one, in the later rounds. While she would valiantly battle on, Rodish took over the bout in the second round and would not let off on her intensity until she got the finish.
Brents Grounds Out Bell
In the final “undercard” bout of the night Tamikka Brents managed to survive a late charge from Amanda Bell to take a unanimous decision victory. Brents dominated early with a smothering ground attack in the first two rounds. Bell charged back in the third with accurate strikes but was unable to finish the bout much to her frustration.
Esquibel Edges McCarthy
Jodi Esquibel and Liz McCarthy engaged in a strong battle for three rounds tonight in KC. Esquibel was able to convince the officials with a balanced attack and even dropped McCarthy with a front kick to the body. The win keeps the Jackson’s MMA prospect undefeated in her young career.
Namajunas Impresses in Pro Debut Versus Kagan
Rose Namajunas was very impressive her professional debut tonight at Invicta FC 4 after an impressive amateur career. Rose constantly attacked throughout the fight no matter what the position was. While Emily Kagan pressured throughout the fight with a solid wrestling attack, she eventually succumbed to a standing rear naked choke from the Pat Barry protege in the third round.
