Good list I think if was between Benson and Mighty Mouse
Thats who it came down to for me, chose Bendo with the way he closed out the year.
I went with Bendo for the same reason, and besides might mouse he was the only one of the top 4 I was considering who had 3 fights this year. With Bendo going undefeated it was a no brainer for me.
I have to agree it’s Henderson…another couple of fights like his last one will put him into the p4p best conversation imo, just an all round great fighter and clean living guy…from what i see and hear.
Matt Brown? Only UFC fighter to go 4-0 in 2012.
Would’ve liked to have seen Cain on here especially considering how he rebounded right after losing his belt by destroying Big Foot than completely dominating the champion in the rematch. Otherwise, good choices.
As with the Fight of the Year post, the voting took place prior to UFC 155. Cain’s victory over JDS will be factored into this year.
Based on this I guess it has to be Bendo as two fights shouldn’t really qualify unless they are epic battles. But Bendo lost at least one if those fights to Edgar and didn’t finish anyone this year. Mighty mouse lost to uncle creepy in the first fight and spider only defended the belt once and easily beat an over the hill Bonnar. Also one of bones wins was over someone from mw.
I think it has to be Hendricks who beat 3 top 5s in his class (if you include beating Fitch on 12/31/11) which I’m sure you didn’t count last year since you pick the lists in mid Dec. If i may ask, why even do the lists in December when you are blatantly leaving out fights in 2012. Is there really a necessity to have the list on January 1? The fights that happen in late 2012 should go towards 2012 not 2013 or what’s the point.
