Heavy-handed English welterweight Paul Daley, who was a major player in the forthcoming Bellator Season 8 Welterweight Tournament on Spike Tv, has been removed from the brackets. Josh Gross of ESPN confirmed the news with promotional representatives.

Daley was slated to meet War Machine in the quarterfinals, but an injury to the American put the kibosh on that fight. The Brit is now out of the tournament and once again in the middle of controversy.

“Semtex” has been barred from entering the United States after a skirmish at a bar saw him charged with assault. The UFC and Strikeforce veteran now faces up to two years in prison.
