Gary Goodridge To Replace Aleksander Emelianenko at “Banned”
UFC and PRIDE veteran Gary Goodridge will replace Aleksander Emelianenko against Paul Buentello at Affliction “Banned” after Emelianenko failed to be licensed for the bout by the California State Athletic Commission for undisclosed reasons.
According to Sherdog.com Goodridge was “already in California, licensed and expecting to fight in San Diego this weekend on a card that was cancelled”.
MMAJunkie.com is reporting that weigh-ins for the bout, which is slated to air on Fox Sports Net between 8pm ET and 9pm tomorrow evening prior to the pay-per-view card, will take place at 11am tomorrow.
Goodridge has lost three of his last five bouts.

goodridge is down as being 42 on sherdog fightfinder.
Don’t hate gary its just hard to get excited about this…filler.
I believe it is the first UFC Knockouts DVD where Goodridge f’s a guy up with multiple elbows…..it was f-ing cool. I just feel he is old and having heard very little about him as of late I have my doubts about Goodridge.
He won the 2005 K1 open tournament destroying Cabbage and everyone else in his way.
He now has wicked leg kicks too but we’ll see how the 2008 version is.
Go Gary!1
