After falling by the wayside due to the fighter scramble caused by Alistair Overeem’s positive drug test ahead of UFC 146, it would seem the promotion is once again looking to match Mark Hunt and Stefan Struve, this time at UFC on Fuel TV 8, which will be taking place in Japan’s Saitama Super Arena on March 2.
Hunt (8-7), who came to prominence in the PRIDE ring, is currently on a three-fight win-streak inside the octagon. “The Super Samoan” last stepped into the cage at UFC 144, which also took place in Japan, knocking out Cheick Kongo in the first round of their heavyweight bout. Hunt has since been forced to sit on the sidelines due to injury.
Struve (25-5) is on a four-fight run of his own. “The Skyscraper” most recently headlined UFC: Nottingham, in a bout that saw him dispose of highly touted prospect Stipe Miocic in the second stanza.
This heavyweight tilt is the first bout rumored for the promotion’s return to The Orient, expect more to be announced in the coming weeks.

I thought Struve was going to fight Kongo. I hope he can ko Hunt though.
That’s apparently changed. This bout still isn’t official yet, but it’s what the UFC is aiming for. I’m guessing Kongo is being punished and will probably be fighting some no-hoper next.
No chance he can ko hunt. Only chance is to submit him. Hunt will crush Struve and all other middle tier guys till he gets a top 5.
good fight. Hunt via Atomic Butt Drop rd3
Great fight, Hunt has CRAZY ko power, but Struve is a excellant grappler and his long limbs make him very crafty. If Struve can get a hold of Hunt it is all over, but easier said than done.
