UFC heavyweight Lavar Johnson is out of his scheduled bout with Brendan Schaub with a pulled groin. Brendan Schaub will not remain on the card with the injury’s proximity to next Saturday’s card. UFC President Dana White broke the news earlier tonight via twitter.

Johnson and Schaub were set to anchor the FX preliminary card before the injury. Schaub vented his frustration (via twitter) after hearing the news.

A bout will likely be moved up from the Facebook preliminary card to fill the spot on the FX card.
The four-fight main card of UFC on Fox 5 will be headlined by a UFC lightweight title fight between Ben Henderson and Nate Diaz. The card will also feature a light heavyweight tilt between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Alexander Gustaffson. The card will take place December 8 at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.
