The whole purpose of the fight is to fight at 205. Shame on both fighters for not coming in or under 205. This is a special situation the 1 lb variance should not matter to anyone but not following the program…that is just sorry…
WTF is up with Irvin? He usually doesn’t struggle to make 205, does he? I know he cuts, but it’s never been a problem for him before I didn’t think.
If you check out the weigh-in photos on ufc.com, Taylor looks kinda buzzed up again. Did anyone check his BAC?

despite the 1 1/2 lb missed weight …im glad that kinda stuff doesnt get into irvins head…he is in his peak of mental and physicall conditioning and is going to give anderson the fight of his life…Lets go irvin!
Did everyone see the staredown though it was epic they both looked ready to throwdown right there
Just watched and it yeah it was pretty good. Vera looked last episode of Survivor thin.

also i am really bummed but spike tv listing says that the fight will be tape delayed and played in west coast at 9pm however its being played at 6pm live west coast and 9pm live east coast i got roped into family affairs until 9pm so i will miss it live

Irvin will not go to the second round. He’s a 1st rd kind of guy. Unfortunately for Irwin, Silva looks the exact same at 205 as he does 185. Which means the spider is going to rock the holy hell out of Irvin. Easy KO round 1.
well, we here in the uk will have to pay for it anyway on setanta, which i have not got. Bravo used to air the fights 24hrs later, which was great. Contract now ended tho. So, we shal not be getting any more ufc events, except on setanta, and will have to be paid for.
Nevermind. Lucky while we had it i guess. just a bummer cos silva/irvin wouold be a nice freebie for any country.
hope silva does his thing, and shows his talent in another category.

making weight at 206 happens ALL the time. Remember when Tito fought Ken Shamrock and Ken weighted in at 205.5 and Tito made a fit about it then came in at 206? was funny.
