MMAFrenzy Quick Hits: DREAM-GLORY Alliance for NYE, UFC Hacker Sentenced, Bellator 80 Protest, and More

With the newly revived DREAM planning their return for this New Year’s Eve, the promotion has joined forces with kickboxing promotion GLORY to promote a mega-card. GLORY had originally planned a card for earlier in December but elected to join forces with the resuscitated MMA promotion. Broadcast details are expected to be announced soon.   • A 15-year-old hacker from California was sentenced in relation to his hacking of the UFC’s website and other sites. The hacker, known as “Cosmo the God,” plead guilty to multiple felonies in exchange for probation. The juvenile was a member of the UG Nazi hacking group that hacked the UFC’s main page earlier this year. (Source: Wired)
  • Vinicius Queiroz’s manager has announced that his fighter’s camp will file a formal protest over the refereeing his Bellator 80  loss to Alexander Volkov. Queiroz was knocked out after a rather dubious standup by referee James Warring. (Source: MMAJunkie)
