Eddie Yagin Hospitalized, Out of UFC on Fox 5

It seems to be a tumultuous time for UFC featherweight Eddie Yagin, who has found himself hospitalized with swelling around his brain, forcing him out of a forthcoming bout with Dennis Siver at UFC on Fox 5.

The circumstances behind the Hawaiian’s injury are bit mysterious as his manager Jason House told MMA Weekly, “He came home after practice, had a headache, started to vomit whatever liquids he drank and then decided to go to the ER the next day,” House than added that he had not been knocked out in training, nor had he been on the receiving end of any particularly hard blows.

According to Yagin’s family, there is blood around the brain, causing the swelling, but it should subside within the next few days if he remains inactive. His manager continued by saying that they’re uncertain about “The Filipino Phemon’s” future for the time being, but should know more after a few days of being monitored by doctors.
