The UFC’s first trip to China was kicked off in fun fashion with the Facebook preliminary fights. While all three bouts were decisions, all three were strong fights. Fighters Alex Caceres, John Lineker, and Riki Fukuda proved victorious in the three opening bouts in Macau.

Caceres Edges Tezuka
Alex Caceres took some time to get started but looked solid in victory over Motonobu Tezuka. Tezuka, who took the fight on merely a week’s notice, was at a clear disadvantage in the striking game but made the fight interesting with some very strong grappling. Caceres got a little too confident at times but still managed to avoid any real danger.
Lineker Defeats Urushitani
It was the power of John Lineker versus the speed of Yasuhiro Urushitani in the morning’s second bout and Linker’s power was the difference. Urushitani landed early and often on the Brazilian but Lineker simply walked through the barrages and connected a few times on the high chin of the Japanese fighter. Lineker simply over-powered Urushitani at times but was unable to finish the bout against the game Japanese fighter.
Fukuda Strong in Victory Over DeBlass
Riki Fukuda’s all-around assault was simply too much for Tom DeBlass. While DeBlass showed some great boxing, Fukuda overwhelmed him with a relentless mix of power strikes and grappling to get the victory. The win improves Fukuda to 2-2 in the UFC.
