Always good to hear from The Count. If Mr UFC has something to say its always advisable to listen. Bisping will be the poster boy of MMA for years to come, in 10 years from now we will all put Bisping in the same bracket as the likes of Gracie, Liddell, Hughes, Couture, Fedor and other of legends in the sport.

wow jpm i cant believe you just said bsiping dominated hamill that is bull….and in my opinion bisping will never be a ufc champion i dont think he can beat any of the top guys at middle weight…henderson,okami,cote,almeida….and first he has to get through leben..which i dont think he can…and even if he does he will never get close to beating the spider

JPM always says that sh*t about the Hamill fight. He just likes to get all of us Americano’s all rowled up…as far as Bisping being put up with Gracie, hughes, couture….hes got a long way to go…not saying he doesn’t have the potential but there is alot of good fighters in the ufc…If he beats leben ill give him a little more credit…because he really hasn’t beat anyone worht a sh*t yet…and the guys he actually fought that were good, he lost…(evans/Hamill(got the w, but worse decision in ufc history EVER)

On a serious note though, it will be good when he eventually steps into the octogan with a real contender, the Leben matchup should be a good gage for us all. I honestly believe he has a real chance with Anderson, he’s a different fighter at MW than he was at LH

Hey mate, holy crap, I just re-checked my sky planner, and screw me, it’s gone mate !!
I swear on my mum’s life it was there, SH1t. I was well up for that, I told my mate it was on and everything, bo11ocks, can’t see it now. It was definitely on the listing, I read the info aswell, added it to my planner reminder/autoplay. Also, set my HDD dvd recorder to bloody record it aswell !

Exactly, it will be interesting to see if as I believe Anderson isn’t as explosive at LH as he is at MW. To me that will make Bispings stock look even stronger in his new weight catagory

How can you tell if a fighter will be good when he hasn’t fought anybody good!?!?! or when he has, he had a poor performance…you all say hes a different fighter at MW, but once again all he has fought is scrubs…not taking any credit away from the count but you all act as if he is the Jesus of the Middleweight division…lets wait and see what happens with him and leben…then you can boast on your golden boy

i know this will sound like typical bisping hating on my part, but i really dunno if he’s ever gonna have that belt. not so much cuz i think he’s a bad fighter, in fact i think he’s pretty skilled (even though i hate him…. cuz he’s british, haha)but more so cuz he’s 29 and he’s fighting during the reign of anderson silva. if he were early to mid 20′s i think he’d have a much better chance of establishing himself and he’d be at a point where he could afford to lose a title shot and still come back for a 2nd shot. At 29 and facing his first semi-real opponent in the MW division, my guess is he’s going to have to fight one more guy before getting a title shot. Seems like a long shot that he’s gonna beat Leben, the next guy and silva without any setbacks. and even if he makes it to silva, he’ll already be 30 which means that might be the only shot he gets. maybe not, depends on alot of things that we can’t predict, i just think that having anderson silva be within the same age range makes for a ****ty time to be a MW.
I think it’s a great time to be a MW. Lets look at Anderson Silva, first off, he is totally dominating the division right now and I know that, BUT, look at the potential for Bisping. If he wins against Leben, he probably secures a title shot after Cote. Not saying he will win, but come on, beating 2 chumps and Leben gets you a title shot. I think you’re in the right division. remember the dominance that Chuck displayed at LHW. Before Rampage came to the UFC, people thought Chuck would have that belt until he died. I hate to admit this, but I think I want Bisping to beat Leben so he can have a shot at A Silva. No one wants Leben-Silva 2 for a few more years, so what else can you cheer for?

Is great to see the sport promoting so much debate, and I think the key is that regardless of opinion we respect all of these guys who walk into the octogan. Looks like you boys have the same attitude as well, so respect.

Did I miss something? When did Leben/Bisping become a #1 contender fight? Oh that’s right. It didn’t.
I still think that even if Bisping wins this that he still has to fight one of the following guys to get a title shot. Marquardt, Quarry, Franklin, Henderson, or Okami. Those are the next tier level of talent in my opinion. Silva is obviously on his own level till one of these guys beat him. I won’t include Cote in that level because I don’t really think he earned a shot. Yeah I know he won a bunch in a row but he didn’t really beat any of those top level guys not to mention that he looked like crap in his last fight.

I wouldn’t have a problem with that. If Bisping can beat both Leben and the Quarry then I think he earned a title shot. I think that would be a great fight after this one for Bisping, even though I’m not a fan of his. But as an MMA fan I think this would be a great brawl!
Personally I’d like to see Franklin/Henderson and maybe Bisping/Okami..
I partly say that because I’m a Bisping fan and I think Mikey woulg get the w!
Cannot wait for the Cripler/Count fight. Whatever happens I think it will be a great fight. Reckon that Mikey’s clinical striking will get the better of Chris. Love watching the cripler fight as well though! Good match up Joe Silva.
Those are just match-ups that I want to see, rather than being the match ups that should take place given the fighter records..
Think its kinda funny in the UFC the way that the match-up selections are so subjective; suppose its more fun that way!!

i would love to say there’s no way bisping gets a title shot if he beats leben, buuuuuuut, you gotta remember it’s not all about who deserves it. money does come into play and bisping vs silva would be a huge sellout and be big in really getting into that UK market that the UFC is trying so hard for. i still think that beating leben only puts him in a position to fight marquardt, cote, franklin…. but i wouldn’t be at all surprised if they tried to sneak him into the title shot. btw, even though i don’t think he’d deserve it, i’d love to see him fight silva, mainly cuz it would be him gettin his ass handed to him.

I’d love Bisping to fight Marquadt, Franklin or even Okami. Leben is definitely a good challenge but I see them as a pretty even match up. Bisping may be a “tinge” more well rounded and athletic. Still, I hope Leben KOs Bisping in rd 1. You’re probably right with the beating Leben/money/Silva deal. I do think Bisping would have to beat Franklin or Okami first to get a title shot at this time. He’s just not far off. Getting Bisping a title shot would be the best thing for the UFC and MMA in England.

Bravo don’t have the ufc anymore, however its now live & exclusive on setenta sports, its only £10 per month and you get a load of other channels with it too. Silva vs Irvin is on it tonight at 2am
