Time for a Change – Condit for UFC Welterweight Champion

The UFC is getting into the spirit of this election season with some political style ads to hype UFC 154. This ad features the “case” for UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit as the true champion of the welterweight division.

UFC 154 will signal the return of St-Pierre as he takes on interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit for the undisputed UFC welterweight crown. The card will take place November 17 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.

I’m a GSP fan, have been since before UFC yet it seemed to be more exciting when he was chasing a belt down. I think it would be a good thing for his career to get back to fighting that way instead of always defending…a loss in this case might be a good thing for him in grand scheme of things.
I agree, I was a bigger GSP fan back when he was a beast and finishing his opponents (Hughes, Serra, Sherk, etc.). But it seems that Condit, (*being from the same camp), is in the initial stages of following that same path of “defending”, and winning rounds rather than going for the finish. Unfortunate indeed.
Personally, I hope Georges buts a beating on him for the hometown crowd.
We can be assured of one thing… that this match will be a 5 round snoozer.
GSP will try and take him down and lay on him for 25 minutes.
Condit will run away and try to out point on counter counter strikes for 25 mins.

I personally have a feeling (hope) that Condit is gonna come out and try to TAKE the belt. Of course that all depends on whether GSP allows him to by brawling, or instead just utilizes the wrestling. But I def think Condit will be gunning for a finish.
If he couldn’t finish a little bitch like Diaz I don’t see him finishing GSP. I wonder if GSP will stick the landing on the backflip this time…
I think he should give up the backflip…seems to be possibly more damaging than any fight moves.
