A light heavyweight match up between Rashad Evans and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has been set for early 2013. The bout is expected to take place on Super Bowl weekend and will likely be dubbed UFC 157. Brazilian site Globo first reported the matchup.
Evans has not fought since losing to UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones at UFC 145. Evans recently assisted Vitor Belfort in his preparation for UFC 152. His opponent, Rogerio Nogueira, has been battling injuries since his TKO victory over Tito Ortiz at UFC 140, which ended a two fight skid.
The bout will likely take place in Las Vegas, Nevada and will likely feature a title fight of some sort on what is usually one of the UFC’s biggest cards of the year.

He beat Tito?
Im pretty sure he(lil Nog) beat Tito buy ‘punches to rib’
Fixed, thanks guys.
Misread something in Portuguese when I was working from the original post. Sorry about that.
Rogerio Nogueira finshed tito by TKO so he has not lost three in a row.
Booooooring. Cake walk for Rashad.
i have to agree. not really amped for this fight @ all.
This is one of those fights that could have a surprise ending.. What little Nogs BJJ and one hit KO power Rashad has more to worry about than most think… If he uses his speed and doesn’t get sloppy on the ground he will smash Nog though…
Rashad by KO
So muxh for Rashad fighting at 185.
yeah, he wanted an immediate title shot if he dropped.
I would’ve rather seen him drop to 185 & rematch Bisping….If Rashad would win that bout then surely his next fight would be against Anderson
On topic, Rogerio has not shown any real bjj skills or takedown defense since coming into the UFC….Rashad has superior wrestling, good bjj defense, is faster and has more power than Rogerio, although Nog’s boxing is better I do not see him winning this fight
