A potential heavyweight slugfest between Pat Barry and Shane Del Rosario has been added to the billing of The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale, which takes place December 15 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Both men find themselves with their back against the wall, as this may be the last time the loser is seen in the octagon.
Barry (7-5) is 1-3 in his last four bouts, with an overall record of 4-5 inside the UFC. “HD” is coming off of a knockout loss to Lavar Johnson at UFC on Fox 3 in May. Prior to that bout, the former kickboxer defeated Christian Morecraft via a brutal first round knockout in January.
Rosario (11-1) suffered a decisive TKO loss to Stipe Miocic in his UFC debut at UFC 146. The Team Oyama product was undefeated prior the bout, taking victories over Lavar Johnson, Lolohea Mahe, and Brandon Cash in the Strikeforce cage.

Go HD!!!
There’s something about Barry I love, but the dude has to put together a few wins. Like I said, I love the guy, but he can’t be TOO far from getting cut.
Agreed, he always brings it
A true underachiever. great guy tho
I like Del Rosario in this fight.
This is going to be a great fight! Rosario is so tenacious. I’ll have to agree with gsueagle.
