Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Dan Henderson was supposed to face UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones at the doomed UFC 151 fight card but had to bow out due to injury. Henderson had hoped to get his title shot when he returned from his injury. With the news yesterday that former teammate Chael Sonnen would not only get a TUF coaching gig but a light heavyweight title shot as well, the MMA legend took to twitter to respond to the news.
I guess I should just quit training to win fights and to be exciting for the fans and just go to shit talking school. @danawhite

UFC President Dana White was looking to set up “Hendo” with a fight against fellow former number one contender – and former UFC light heavyweight champion – Lyoto Machida. That bout seems more likely now with a title shot off the table for Henderson until late next year.
