This may be the end of the glorious reign of Anderson Silva. He should win, of course, but I can’t help but hate this match up for him.iBonnar s oh so game and has nothing to lose. I’m not calling three loss outright, but I won’t be shocked. He’s getting up there, and his best is surely behind him. I just hope people realize this may be the end of his unprecedented streak. And I wonder of Dana really realizes that he’s risking it, and the magnitude of the potential future match ups with this whimsical replacement fight. Anyway..should be good!

I am a huge fan of Davis but I just don’t see Prado having a chance sorry.
@Devin:
Silva has shown nothing in his last few fights to show he’s slowing down. And certainly not enough for Bonnar to catch up to him.
If Silva does what he’s supposed to do–that is, look boss against a name light heavy–this will stoke more interest for the superfight everyone wants vs. Jon Jones. Obviously, this is what Dana White wants, even if he won’t say it publicly…at the very least to stoke the interest and keep people paying attention.
Dana is the one saying he wants Silva-Jones, but neither fighter is interested
@frantzfanon
That’s your opinion, but my opinion is that the old spider would’ve never looked the way he did in the first 6 rounds against Sonnen. I don’t think there its any more interest that could be drawn than there already is. Calculated risk.
Davis looked awesome. Told u guys Prado didn’t have a chance
All I have to say is if u don’t like Jon Fitch then u suck.
All right, Fitch!!!
I don’t like him but he deff impressed me tonight
@Kobe damn straight!!
Anderson is the G.O.A.T
BOOOMMM!!!
I repent!
isnt chris kami=camozi from trail bc canada?
nope, California
I can’t say spider moves above Fedor after beating Bonnar and Sonnen, at least in my book, but he is close. And I def can’t argue against him. But I believe bones will eventually surpass both of them.
@Devin
“I can’t say spider moves above Fedor after beating Bonnar and Sonnen, at least in my book, but he is close.”
Word? You may want to head over to the local library and get another book. LOL!
In all seriousness, I’m not sure how Fedor gets mentioned with Anderson. We can all agree that Bonnar is not at the top of the heat in the 205lb division, but he is a very competent competitor and someone who does not get finished (aside from lacerations). Quality of opposition should be a topic that Fedor supporters should veer from.
I loved watching Fedor fight and I enjoyed his run. A huge difference between he and AS is that AS has not shown any decline whereas Fedor showed a seemingly rapid decent.
On one hand I give Fedor credit for fighting up in weight. But I generally take that credit away on the other hand for not getting himself in shape enough to fight at his natural weight. I think if he trimmed all of that babyfat and fought at MW and LHW his run would have been extended and his legacy enhanced. Alas, this is all speculation and opinion on my part…
Nevertheless, AS put on a masterful performance last night. It was the “cage-a-dope.” His fluidity is unparalleled. Were you not entertained!!!
Just kidding with you…
Spider has moved past fedor by miles since fedor is third all time at best. Not a fan of fedor but I do respect his legacy.
@FCfighter well said
