ufcmanz, i believe this card is actually free on Spike.

my prediction for the Silva-Machida fight is that Thiago wins bt tko in the 3rd round. he’s knocked out everyone he’s fought so far. Unlike Machida who wins mostly by decisions.

Should be a great fight.

Machida Vs. Silva is a good fight still not that great of fight card…. was read a few days ago and it said Diego Sanchez Vs. Thiago Alves on this card now that was a awesome fight.. made this card decent with Sanchez and Alves but now this card looks really bad think it may turn out to be the worst of the year … come on Leben and Bisping as a main event??????? I’d like to see Machida Vs. Silva but there is no point for me it would be like spending 40$ just to see Lyoto and Thiago … I would have bought the card if Sanchez and Alves was still on it but its not so I’ll just save my money for a good card

I wanna see Rampage vs. Wanderlei Silva a rematch from Pride, Then you got Lidell vs. Evans in 88, and Machida vs Thiago Silva in 89. through Keith Jardine in th mix and the champ Forrest Griffin and you got an exciting lightweight chapionship for the rest of 2008 and 2009.

Oh, also you guy’s have a point about Chucks age. Sooner or later it’s going to catch up with him. Forrest has more stamina that Liddell for sure. I just think Chuck would find a way to catch him.

gunslinger, I only said that I hope Thiago wins, I know Machida could definatly pull of the decision win. On that note, LOL at Machida destroying anyone! Running around like a fairy while throwing a few strikes to win a decision is not destroying.

I can’t stand Lyoto as a figher but as a person he seems to be a good guy.

anderson silva has already been documented to saying he only wants to test the lhw waters and that he will only fight once because he said the lhw belt is lyoto’s

Spider might fight Wandy at 185…its not a given if they fought, it would be at 205!!!

I cant wait for this card! Hell, the best 2 fights of that card…neither are the main event!! (the other being alves/diego) – and this is a free card…..seriously…how can affliction, elite xc, etc…compete?? Not fair if you ask me..

I am weary of fighters throwing kicks unless followed by a combo or flurry of punches against Machida because his style of defense. Tito was very unsuccessful in the clinch, could not get a takedown and I do not belive Thiago can do much better. As I see it, Thiago needs to be an aggresive boxer and work his way inside which will be very hard against Machida. Should Thiago work his way inside and manage to start landing punches, he needs to go for a takedown quickly. If he leaves Machida any time at all, Machida will clinch and karate spin his way out of it frustrating Thiago just like Tito. Aggressive dirty boxing and takedowns is the way to beat Machida. Easier said than done.
