After a unanimously panned performance at Bellator 75, which emanated from The Venue at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana, that saw former Strikeforce title challenger Brett Rogers soundly beaten from pillar to post for fifteen minutes, “Da Grim” revealed that he suffered a broken arm early in the first round at the hands of Alexander Volkov.

The Minnesota native told Middle Easy:

“I’ve never broken anything. It was a surreal moment for me. I was like F*** – something ain’t right. I need to keep going with this and hope for the best. Volkov definitely realized by the third round that something wasn’t right, so he was trying to test me out from top to bottom. By the time we found it, it was just a little too late.”

Rogers tweeted a photo of of the arm in question, showing a very bad break,  which would explain why the hard-hitting heavyweight put on such a tepid effort.
