Former Bellator Featherweight Champion Joe Warren is now set to make his return to action after an eight-month layoff. “The Baddest Man on The Planet” will once again try his luck at bantamweight, as he is welcomed back by Owen Evinger at Bellator 80 on November 9.
Warren (7-3) has been on a tough run of late. After taking a contentious decision victory over Marcos Galvao, the featherweight champ would test the waters at bantamweight, being obliterated by Alexis Vila in the first round, suffering his first career knockout. The former Greco-Roman Wrestling World Champion would then return to 145 pounds, but would once again taste defeat, in one of the most brutal beatdowns of recent memory, at the hands of Pat Curran.
Owen Evinger (7-3) also finds himself on a two-fight skid, losing back-to-back bouts against Aaron Ely and Allen Gibson. The Missouri native was undefeated prior to his bellator debut, and looks to show the world that he belongs in the BFC cage by defeating a former champion in Joe Warren.
