With the tumultuous day suffered by Zuffa, yesterday, it would seem they have begun to make headway in putting the now fractured UFC 153 back together as a heavyweight tilt between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Dave Herman has been penciled onto the bill.
Nogueira (33-7) has been inactive for 10 months behind having his arm snapped by Frank Mir in December at UFC 140.”Minotauro” will fight in his home country of Brazil for only the second time. The former PRIDE and UFC champion defeated Brendan Schaub at UFC 134 prior to that bout, competing in Brazil for the first time in his illustrious career.
Herman (21-4) is on a two-fight skid with losses to Stefan Struve and Roy Nelson. Prior to his most recent run, the Indiana native was on three-fight win-streak that included victories in both the Bellator and UFC cages.
UFC 153 takes place October 13 at the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro. The event has yet to see a new main event named with UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo falling off the card due to foot injury.

That’s actually a pretty good match up!…Good chance for Big Nog to be victorious in his home country!
Whats up with lil nog
I was wondering, myself. Word is he’s ready to compete again. There have been several pictures uploaded by Machida and others of Lyoto, Big Nog, Shogun, Wanderlei, and Anderson hanging out, but no sign of Lil Nog anywhere.
I remember dave herman once said “i don’t really think jiu-jitsu works” well i have a feeling he’ll get his ass kicked due to jiu-jitsu in this fight, and that would look very bad for him aswell considering how quickly he lost on the feet in his last match up
