UFC Fight Night 14 Weigh-In Details
Weigh-ins for UFC Fight Night 14 “Silva vs. Irvin” will take place this Friday, July 18th, at the ballrooms located on the 2nd floor of the Fantasy Tower at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Pearl at The Palms will host Saturday’s Spike TV event.
MMAFrenzy.com will have extensive coverage of UFC Fight Night 14 including Friday’s weigh-ins and LIVE coverage of Saturday’s eleven-bout card.
Friday’s weigh-ins are free and open to the public. Doors to the event will open at 3pm PT with the weigh-ins set to begin at 4pm PT. The weigh-ins WILL NOT be broadcast live online but the UFC will release video highlights of the weigh-ins on Friday evening.
UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will make his light heavyweight debut in the UFC Fight Night 14 main event against “The Sandman” James Irvin. Brandon Vera vs. Reese Andy, Hermes Franca vs. Frank Edgar, Cain Velasquez vs. Jake O’Brien, Anthony Johnson vs. Kevin Burns, and Jesse Taylor vs. CB Dollaway will also be aired live during the three-hour broadcast, which will begin at 9pm ET.
Five additional bouts will be featured on the event’s preliminary card.

I agree 100% machida will demolish thiago and then finally get his shot at the title…FINALLY!…if chuck won five in a row he would get a shot now machida will get his with his 6th win in a row! and machida will beat forrest for the title
machida MIGHT beat Forrest for the title. However Forrest didn’t stand much of a chance against Rampage either. Or Shogun. … I don’t think I’ll bet against Forrest, even despite the fact that I 100% agree. Machida should beat Forrest.
If Chuck wins 2 in a row, he would probably get another shot at the title. I do think if Lyoto beats Thiago, then he gets a much deserved title shot, that he could, as Anderson Silva said, get the LHW belt and keep it for quite a while.

Machida will not gets a title shot before Chuck unless Chuck losses to Rashad in his next fight. Other than that Forrest’s first title defence will be against Chuck Liddel. All Chuck has to do to make it official is to beat Evans.
Machida-vs-Thiago Silva is a highly intriging match up. We should find out a lot about both these guys in this fight!
Jai, you’re probably right. The more I think about it, the more I could see the Forrest/Chuck being the New Years Huge Finale for the Year. If Rashad won somehow, they would then allow Machida to fight Forrest next, but I don’t think that it would be at such a big show as the new years.

if anderson gets beat it should be james irvin vs forrest griffin in december for the title…I said it earlier and ill say it again if you beat the #1 p4p best fighter in the world it should be an automatic title shot!

No freakin way Irvin gets a title shot. The end of the year show is the biggest thing. You know that Affliction is going to throw a card together for that night. Irvin and Griffin wouldn’t even be a main event on the new Years UFC stage. Chuck and Forrest, yes, but Irvin isn’t ready for a title shot, nor does he deserve one in such a stacked division. Cone on, gunslinger.
WHAT? C’mon, just because Irvin beat a 185 pounder he deserves a title shot even if it is Anderson? No way, Irvin is still a nobody. The only name he has beat was Houston “Glass Jaw” Alexander.
