A promising clash of Canadian lightweights has been added to UFC 154, which takes place November 17 at Bell Centre in Montreal as John Makdessi and Sam Stout will meet in what is already being considered a fight of the night contender.
Stout (19-7-1) is currently on a 3-1 run. The Team Tompkins product most recently took a unanimous decision in a rubber match with his career rival Spencer Fisher at UFC on FX 4, rebounding from a decision loss to Thiago Tavares. “Hands of Stone’s” most recent run has seen him knockout longtime veteran Yves Edwards and take a split decision victory over Paul Taylor.
Makdessi (9-2) is looking to get back on the winning side of things after dropping consecutive bouts to Dennis Hallman and Anthony Njokuani. The Tristar karateka came into Octagon undefeated and earned back-to-back victories over Pat Audinwood and Kyle Watson prior to the set of losses.
